Stayed the night passing through. In general the hotel looks great and surrounding areas are beautiful. It was clean inside and out and smelled clean. During check in I was informed they were not providing any kind of breakfast due to COVID, which somewhat annoyed me cause every other Marriott hotel I’ve stayed at this week is at a minimum providing cereal, fruit, brown bags, etc. They also charged me $6 a night for parking which I thought could’ve been waived since breakfast isn’t being provided. I went up to my room and it was ok compared to other Marriott hotels I’ve stayed with. Not as spacious, but for the most part clean. The carpet when you first walk in was rough as if liquid had dried on that part of the carpet and there was a stain on of the comforters that looked like spilled coffee. The bathroom was a little snug but the important thing for me is that was spotless! Clean towels, toilet, shower, sink. I would recommend a vent switch or setting it up so the vent turns on and off with the light switch. You could see discoloration on the ceiling around the edges and some bubbling from the humidity. The one major inconvenience was that my room didn’t have a microwave. Definitely one of the nicer Marriott hotels, but lacked a lot of simple things.

We stayed in here for one night when we went to Grand Canyon. We were early and the room was not ready when we got in. When we got to our room, it still has that disinfectant smell but we were so tired that we just didn't care. We had the two queen beds. Beds were ok. The overall cleanliness of the room was good. We had a patio and the view of the garden. At this time, their restaurant is only open during breakfast. Olive Garden is next door and is just walking distance. There were also a lot of restaurants in the area that is about 5 mins drive. We did use their indoor pool and it was a decent size.
Staff were friendly. Manager was there and was very nice.

We used the Marriott Courtyard in Flagstaff as a point to stay to tour various locations in the northern part of the state and it was perfect! The hotel was clean, the location was great and the staff we interacted with were all very friendly. The hotel had a nice courtyard to sit outside and eat food we’d picked up. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants within a couple minute drive to grab food when we were actually at the hotel. We’d definitely return to this hotel when in the area again!

I have stayed at many Marriotts throughout my life and this one ranks among my worst experiences. Upon arrival to the Courtyard, I went to check in at the front desk and was not given the usual “thank you for being a Marriott gold elite member” spiel that I am usually greeted with when I check in. While not a deal breaker, it was still something that bothered me.

Once we got to our room, we inspected everything and found a few things including a long brown hair on one of the pillows and a burnt out light in one of the night stands. Additionally, the lighting in the room is not great. There is no main overhead light in the room, and you basically have to turn on all the lights in the room in order to have decent lighting. Again, not a huge deal, but kind of off putting.

What was not acceptable was the paper-thin walls in the facility. My wife and I found it extremely difficult to fall asleep during our two night stay in room 213 with all of the noise that was coming in our room. Between people conversing in the hallways and nearby rooms to the loud cars from the nearby highway to the extremely loud ice maker which was constantly being used (seriously who uses that much ice people?!) we were extremely disappointed with the sound control that the room provided. We often found ourselves whispering to each other to prevent our conversations from being heard by the neighboring rooms. Not great.

Another gripe was the lack of housekeeping in the facility. When we arrived, we were told that there is no daily housekeeping at the facility, (im assuming to reduce costs?) so when we came back to the hotel from a long day of driving and excursions, we were not greeted with a nicely made bed or clean sheets.

When it was time to check out, I went to the front desk and was asked how my stay was. I told the staff member that it was “just ok”. She did not ask any other questions or really seem to care how my stay was. This was the needle that broke the camel’s back. I usually don’t write reviews for things unless they are really good or really bad, and I felt obligated to discuss my stay to help others not make the same mistake I did by staying at this facility.

One good thing this facility has going for it is the view from the parking lot. It offers nice unobstructed views of the nearby mountains. Furthermore, the housekeeping staff was extremely nice when we were departing, which definitely improved my mood, but did not make up for the awful experience that we had.

Horrible! We were looking forward to staying here with our kids over Thanksgiving. The indoor hottub and pool was the reason we booked. Once we visited the hotel and found out the pool and spa were underconstruction we asked for our money back so we could find a hotel with a pool and spa for our kids. The hotels response was that we could "walk accross the street to their other property" I am sorry but suggesting we walk across a major road in 30 degree weather with little kids TO SWIM was just a slap in the face. We kindly ask asked for our money back and the property offered a $30.00 refund. Yet another slap in the face. We finally left with no refund out $170.00 because we paid for a room elsewhere. The hotel was not even at capacity. I can see why Horrible customer service. Don't stay here. They don't care about you or your family. Not reasonable. I would expect better from a Marriott. I will be sure to spread the word they don't care!

This place is nice, although the night before we stayed at a Fairfield inn Tempe, and it was 10x nicer at 1/3 the price. We were mostly disappointed because we were quoted a price from another Marriott employee, yet the manager would not support that price, and we ended up spending 3 times our hotel room limit. I'm still disputing this with Marriott. Other than this issue, everyone else was very friendly, although the bathroom wasn't as nice as Fairfield Tempe.

Do not stay at this hotel! I had a reservation and drove 4 hours to get to the hotel, with 2 young grandchildren. I made the reservation over the phone directly with the hotel. I told them twice during the reservation that I would be bringing 2 small dogs. Once I arrived and went to check in, I was told there was a $75 non returnable fee for the dogs. I asked to speak to the manager, (Kimberly Tinsman), and let her know that I was not aware of the fee. She raised her voice and told me its posted on the website. I told her I called to make the reservation, I didn't use the website, but she refused to waive the fee. I was then told that the dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the room. I asked how we were supposed to go out to have dinner, go to the Observatory, etc., if we couldn't leave the room?? They suggested I have food delivered to the room. Then they told me the indoor heated pool was not working, and hadn't been working for a few days. Of course, they failed to tell me this when I made the reservation a few days beforehand. I turned to the grandkids to let them know they wouldn't be able to swim, and they were in tears. As I had my back turned away from the manager and employee at the front desk, I heard the manager tell the employee to cancel my reservation. I turned around and asked her why she did that, and that I did not ask her to cancel my reservation. I didn't know what to do at that point because I wasn't sure I could find another room for the night, at such a late time in the afternoon. But I also didn't want to be extorted for the dog fee, or held hostage in my room for the weekend. I made a few calls and was lucky enough to find a vacant room down the street with a working, heated pool! The manager, Kimberly Tinsman, is rude and heartless, she didn't care that I was left without a place to sleep, with my grandkids. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

I decided to book the Courtyard as website described its lounge and restaurant along with a business center, and it is pet-friendly. I found the hot tub photo enticing as I was in the middle of a coast to coast roadtrip and my muscles were aching. I arrived at the hotel only to find no restaurant, no cocktail lounge and was told that Covid was the reason. Covid might have affected the level of service the hotel offers, but it certainly didn't affect the hotel charges as the "pet-friendly" Marriot charged me $80 dollars for my dachshund, and the hotel rate certainly didn't reflect the current non existent hotel service. I then went to the business center as I needed to edit a document, and I didn't bring my laptop. The only computer that the hotel had wouldn't permit a sign-in to Gmail and the attendant called the Maintenance man who naturally was unable to do anything about an computer problem. I then went to the indoor pool/hot tub which of course was closed due to Covid.
My principal objection is that the Marriot website completely mislead me as they have yet to update their website and I won't make the mistake of believing their false promises again.

I work at a Courtyard hotel in Phoenix so I understand how important these reviews are. My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights this past weekend and we loved it. The property is really clean and beautiful, and is on a small hill in Flagstaff with a tremendous view. Everyone at the front desk was very nice and happy to recommend points of interest. My only complaint was that I was charged $6 per day for parking and was never told about it, which is why my review is four stars. Besides that, we loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

The location is in a great area. There is shopping plaza, restaurants, NAU and freeway near the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly, there is a fee for parking but there is enough parking spaces on the property to choose from.

I was able to get my family hotel rooms next door to each other and we all enjoyed an evening out sitting at the fire pit together. The weather was perfect morning and in the evening to sit outside and enjoy a meal and conversation with other hotel guest.
