The Good:
First, I was impressed with the staff. Courteous, kind, and staying on top of people who weren't masking. The breakfast was surprisingly good and the pool was nice. The hotel was clean except when you looked a little closer. The coffee service was also very nice. Overall, the kitchenette room was very nice.

The Bad:
We booked this hotel because of the kitchenette. We were surprised there was no stove or pots & pans, causing us to need to to go Walmart across the street and get an electric skillet. The Dishwasher was also broken. The top rack would fall when pulled out and we had to be very careful after the first occurrence. It was frustrating as we paid extra for this feature. Also, we were not able to clean dishes as there were no dish soap and sponges in the room, and none were available at the front desk. If we had known this, it would have been no big deal to bring them from home. Again, this prompted us to go to Walmart for supplies, taking time away from our recreation. Finally, the bathrooms were not clean. There were yellow marks on the toilet and the sink area had some grime. While we know housekeeping staff works hard, it was disappointing.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Easy in and out. Good restaurants close by in walking distance. Staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel addressed mask wearing, hand sanitizers on all floors and proper trash and recycling containers.

I’m a La Quinta fan. They are clean, provide microwaves and refrigerators (usually), they have a friendly and welcoming culture, they accept dogs (I don’t have one anymore, but appreciated it when I did...and it’s always wonderful to get a few pets in of other guest dogs). This spot also has laundry services for guests, a pool, workout facility.

Outback Steakhouse is adjacent, so convenient for dinner.

It is located by a train track. I’m on the back of the building and heard them throughout the night. When I stay here again I’ll ask for a room on the front.

Also note that Walmart SuperCenter and REI are very close by. Perfect to stock up before heading into the Grand Canyon for a few days.

Booked for some skiing. For about $170 / night, you'd expect they answer our calls, have soap in the bathroom (or at least provide this at check in), have a working phone in the unit, and have slightly bigger rooms than a one car garage built for a VW Bug.....and that $170 was a better rate than most who waited to book a week or less ahead. The bed was so soft and lumpy, I awoke feeling like I had already been skiing the entire day. Hard to believe, but we paid almost half for a suite at a Hilton in Purgatory, CO just two weeks prior. Nobody can convince me that Flagstaff doesn't need more hotels, despite the plethora of establishments already there.

After reading the recent reviews we felt compelled to write as we had a very different experience. The rooms were clean- the hotel was clean - the pool area was clean. We even added two more nights to our stay. Mainly interacted with the evening staff...female worker who was efficient, helpful and friendly. Toiletries provided at the front desk....just ASK. Surely folks should understand that during this COVID-10 pandemic no full breakfast is served and to curb that expectation. Convenient location and we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was fabulous! We would absolutely stay here again and wish all La Quintas were this nice! The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nicer than most hotels, including hot eggs and sausage each morning. The indoor pool was a nice touch, and the hot tub was great after long days of hiking. Lastly, the staff was kind, quick, and willing to do whatever they could to help.

Our only downside was rough sleep due to VERY noisy neighbors until late hours. The walls were thin, so we could hear them over our white noise machine. This wasn’t the fault of the hotel, but it was definitely a problem for us!

This hotel is impossible, to contact, for one. I called multiple times and was on hold for over 20 minutes. A friend of mine booked a room for me, for two nights. Something came up and I couldn’t make it, the first night. He tried to call, twice, to cancel, just one night, and ended up having to drive all the way to the hotel, as the phone still rang. When he got there, with the phone still ringing, the young lady at the front, reminded him that she’s only one person, multiple times. It got squared away, so we thought. The next day, when I got to Flagstaff, we called, a few times and waited for 15-20 minutes, each time. When we finally reached someone, we asked if we could check in, at any time. They said yes! When I finally got to the hotel, the room was canceled. Not only did they cancel my room, they claimed they didn’t have my friend’s information on file, though he gave them his card number, expiration date, etc. So, I paid out of pocket, for the room and the man working at the desk, was rather rude. It was not a pleasant experience and I will definitely not be going back to this hotel and would like to get a refund. That’s how frustrating the experience was.

Although I haven’t been in a lot of La Quinta hotels in the past, this one was by far the nicest one I’ve stayed at. The exterior was very well maintained, as was the rooms. The only slight ding is the breakfast was about on par with a fast food breakfast, but it was very nice to be able to eat in the hotel.

Do not stay here not worth the price they charge. Front desk female in the evenings is customer service oriented; however the male in the morning needs more training. I understand we need to be careful with COVID 19, this hotel gives you a mini muffin, a mini breakfast bar and a tangerine. That’s it no juice no water not worth the price of staying here. In lieu of serving breakfast. Book somewhere else in Flagstaff AZ.

While driving from the east coast to the west coast we decided to stop in Flagstaff to get some sleep before the last leg of our trip to California. Somehow during the last part of out toad trip my wallet was lost along with pretty much everything I needed in order to rent a room for the night. Tired beyond exhaustion, and desperately in need of a place to rest up we decided to try La Quinta to see if there was any way they could accommodate us. Calli answered the phone and listened to our story and instantly without pause went above and beyond to help us out. She talked with her manager and they worked it out and made it work with what little identification I had left and got us the room we desperately needed. Calli was phenomenal, she treated like family and was considerate beyond anyone’s expectations. Calli is a real gem and an asset that makes the La Quinta team standout! Thank you Calli for all your help!!
