We hadn't stayed at a Motel 6 since 2011 (now camp in RV) and were surprised at the difference in the rooms. Gone is the carpet, the polyester bedspread/matching curtains, the flap of a pillow and the teeny weeny towels. The difference in the comfort of the beds and the pillows were significant. We appreciated a call from staff shortly after entering the room to make sure everything was OK. The location of this Motel 6 was great because of access to the motorway and walking to restaurants. AND it is nice not to have to pay extra to stay with your dogs.

Basic room with basic amenities. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our neighbors were very noisy. Bath towels were very small, but the shower was hot and strong. What you expect for the price and fine for a night. Tv was a good size for the room.

CONS: Thin walls, loud freeway noise, poor housekeeping (came once in 6 days at 8:30AM and woke me up. Had to ask front desk for towels and toilet paper and dispose of my own trash) shower stall flooring coming up and had to be careful as sharp, shower curtain missing several hangers. Floors not washed for a long time. Draft from door. On 7th night at midnight the light above the shower started rapidly dripping water from the room above.

PRO’s: Friendly front desk staff, location closest in Flagstaff to get to Sedona, TV good size, not grainy and works. I paid for microfridge and they worked. Heat works. No holes or stains on bed linens. Can park next to door.

Came to Flagstaff for the Power in the Pines strongman compition and decided to make a short vacation to get out of the heat. Stayed four days. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was very small though. Actually had decent cable. Looked like the rooms were recently remodeled. Hotel was close to just about everything.
Strange thing is no microwave and no fridge. Also advertised that there are BBQ pits that we were planning on using. They don't have any BBQ areas. The exterior definitely needs some work as it looks run down. Advertised as pet friendly but there are no pet signs everywhere and no bag stations. The pool was actually pretty nice but seems to get taken over by large groups of inebriated native Americans that made it unusable at times. Altogether it was ok for the price but didn't think I would stay there again because of the lack of microwave and fridge plus the issues with some of the clientele.

We planned on just staying one night on our return to Texas but for the cost this was a really good value. Management here is superior here to a typical Motel 6. They can intelligently answer questions and they actually have a personality. Exterior, grounds, and parking lot kept clean as were the rooms upon check in. Internet worked very well. Location is good with groceries, Walmart and fast food nearby. My only complaint has nothing to do with the property but the city of Flagstaff allows panhandling throughout the city. In the evenings the Walmart became a parking lot with old run down RVS and campers which obviously housed "homeless" people..

I did not expect to be impressed, I was just looking for budget friendly accommodations for the weekend for my husband and I to go to an event in Flagstaff. Less than impressed, I was almost disappointed enough to forfeit my payment and go somewhere else.

We were planning to share the room with another couple and thank goodness they backed out because this room was barely large enough for my husband and I. There was barely enough room for the two double beds which were each pushed up against the wall with a narrow space between them, just big enough for the nightstand. Which had no outlets, btw. There was a small desk with a wooden chair, and a tv. There was an outlet to charge my phone, but it was behind the tv and was pretty overloaded since it had the fridge and the microwave plugged into it too.
Speaking of the fridge, while it kept our drinks for the next day cold, it also leaked water all over everything somehow.

There were no drawers, which is fine since we don't usually unpack for just a weekend, but there was also no closet. Just a clothes bar in the bathroom right next to the toilet. So my coat and dress for the next day had to be hung next to the toilet (which was thankfully the cleanest thing in the room).

The sink area wasn't spotless but was clean enough to use. I refused to use the shower. It was probably safe, but the shower floor had no barrier between it and the bathroom floor, and when my husband showered it made the entire bathroom wet. The shower head was a handheld and mounted about 5 feet off the ground, so unless you were very short or in a wheelchair you had to hold it in one hand to shower properly.

The sheets were clean and the walls seemed to have been painted recently. The floors looked clean at first, but then after walking across them I had to wipe my feet off before getting into bed and again before putting on socks. The flooring was new, but dark, and housekeeping is obviously not cleaning the floors between guests.

I've stayed in many motel 6s over the years, and as a place to sleep they're usually just fine. But never again this one. Because it was a weekend my cost was over $230 for the two nights. For just a few dollars more I could have stayed at another cleaner hotel that included breakfast, a closet and a proper shower. Lesson learned.

My brother and I stayed here for one night during our visit to Flagstaff.

Cynthia checked us in. She was super nice and professional!

The beds in the room were comfortable. Everything had been thoroughly cleaned.

I liked the design of the shower stall.

Walmart is just across the street, which came in handy to pick up some supplies.

Kudos, Cynthia & Motel 6!

It was clean, convenient, and inexpensive. I only stayed one night and it was perfectly fine. It looked like it had some recent updates and if you just need somewhere to sleep at night, then it is a great value and a great place to stay!

I thought the room was fairly clean, then I pulled out the nightstand to look for a plug in and YUCK! Disgusting behind the nightstand. And no plug ins near the bed at all. The grounds are filthy, trash and dog poop all over the ground. It wasn’t bad enough to leave after check in, but I won’t be back.

My room was clean but the farthest side from the office. Wi-Fi does not work there. The walls are thin. The beds were pretty hard. Tv was good quality. Water pressure is nice in the shower. And I love motel 6 because I have a dog and they do not charge extra for pets.
