This room was disgusting! Hairs stuck to my pillow, filthy door and bathroom, guest towels piled up on the ground outside our room under the stairs, crayon marks on sheets, gross shower and sink, crappy air conditioner, and more! Worse than a motel 6!
Nicely renovated rooms worthy of a higher star rating. Linens, bedding, pillows and towels were 1st rate. My room had a door connecting to the room next door, allowing one to hear everything being said and done at normal sound level. Hanging winter coats and placing luggage etc in front of the door had no effect blocking conversations from next door.
We walked up to our door and there was a woman drinking bud light and smoking on the hallway floor. Had to park our car in what appeared to be a shared parking lot with a junk yard. The shower had hair in it. Multiple items in the room were stained and clearly hadn’t been cleaned at all. There was ice cream spilled on the side table by the bed. This is all during COVID-19. We got a non smoking room but we walked in and immediately found a lighter and a vent on the floor....and it smelled like weed all night. We were too nervous to leave our room do to the people drinking and smoking right outside the door. Honestly unsure if this room was even cleaned before we stayed in it. Sheets smelled like BO and smoke. I’m horrified that I spent money here.
We needed a place to stay on Labor Day weekend. Every other place was booked. This motel is fine when your choices are limited. We were in a double queen room that was small for double queen beds. The room appeared relatively clean. The refrigerator required some servicing. The maintenance man was friendly and helpful. The price for the room was too high for this type of motel. The room appeared to have been renovated. This motel would not be my first choice if I return to Flagstaff.
I paid $149 total last nt(sat 8/22/20) when all hotels seemed to be twice the $ they are today(sun). The room seemed clean but had a pedestal sink with nowhere to set things & a teeny tiny dark shower. There was a frig w/freezer & a microwave but no coffee maker. Although breakfast is usually included, it wasn’t bc of covid. Other motels on this road trip have provided individually wrapped bagels, apples, granola bar or even coffee. This HJ didn’t provide anything at all. The bed & pillows & ac were good. I would only return if the price was appropriate.
