Sonesta is home away from home, it is clean, well kept, has a quiet atmoshere, staff are polite and do have excellent customer service. Suites are comfortably with the open area. Do miss the open breakfast and evening gatherings.
We quarantined here and felt very safe. Kudos to the staff and management for doing such a good job of keeping us protected. There is much to do and see outside in the beauty of Flagstaff. Thanks Sonesta for making it possible for us to enjoy it.
We recently stayed there on our way from Los Angeles to Chicago, it was our first stop. We got a double room with two kings. When we arrived, we opened the door and the first thing I noticed was the smell. The room had a terrible oil smell in it, as if someone had just cooked in it. Moreover, the rugs were extremely dirty, the walls were scuffed, the room just felt generally like it had barely any cleaning in it. Everything from the time you went up the stairs and got into the building was dusty and dirty. I went to the front desk and asked for another room, we ended up with a similar room on the first floor. That room was at least clean but certainly not worth the near $500 that we were going to be charged. I got $50 off of the price because I complained but I am NOT SATISFIED at all with this hotel and want to warn others. I have traveled extensively throughout the country since July with my family and this hotel was BY FAR the WORST HOTEL for the price that I have seen. STAY AWAY..…
The room is big and has everything we need. But... We are 2 families and booked it a week ago under one order, and we got rooms in different buildings. Breakfast is not even a Breakfast (snack and drink). And the receptionist just told us its her first day after being sick with covid 19. Made us scared. We paid full price but feels like we could have booked a better place.
We stayed one night with a family of 6. There was enough room for the kids to move around. The 2 bathrooms also helped since there was 6 of us. The area was quiet and away from the highway noise. It was an easy check in/check out process, which makes things nice. There was 6 of us, but only 4 towels, so I had to go ask for more. There only complaints is the carpet and the sinks. The carpet appeared dirty and old. We didn't allow our 4 and 7 year-olds to sit and play on the carpet and had to wear shoes or sandals. The bath sinks had a very slooowwww drain. It needs to be cleaned out. Overall, it was nice and we would stay again.
