Dynamic and breathtaking, Castle Hill Inn promises an exclusive, luxury experience for each guest who visits. The property's 40 acres offer everything from panoramic water views, and rustic hiking trails to private beaches and hidden rocky coves. In summer, guests come to unwind and enjoy the Newport social scene that gathers on the Lawn, which slopes from an elegantly restored 19th-century mansion out to Narragansett Bay. During cooler months, Castle Hill becomes more of a private retreat, perfect for escapes from city life but still close to the amenities of downtown Newport. Year round, the property also boasts world-class dining that showcases the best of Rhode Island's seasonal bounty, Castle Hill's extraordinary setting only becomes more beautiful with each turn of season, and we do our best to match its brilliance with unmatched service for our guests. A Relais & Chateaux member and recipient of Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Award.

My husband and I stay at a beach house at Castle Hill every year, often in the winter. Even with the cold, this is by far our favorite ocean escape in the U.S. The service is first class and yet warm and unpretentious. The breakfast, with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic

We had a wonderful stay at Castle Hill in February of 2018 when I proposed to my now-wife in the restaurant. The beach house in which we stayed was perfect in every way and we were married in July. So, where better to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement? Beach House

Nothing disappoints at this hotel. We wanted to take a "mini moon" after our wedding since we are delaying our honeymoon to our one year anniversary. We drove out of the city to Newport. This amazing hotel is at the very end of the island. They graciously upgraded our room,

We spent the night on the eve of my wife's birthday in the lovely ROSE Room. Afternoon tea was fabulous. Dinner even more so. The prix fixe menu was varied and accompanied by wonderful amuse bouche and a variety of truffles after dessert. Service was friendly and professional.

Hi: We're delighted you may have the chance to visit us in a couple of weeks! Although we suspend cocktail service on The Lawn after Columbus Day, the Terrace Bar will remain open as long as weather permits. You can order cocktails and snacks from the bartender, bring them down to the Adirondack chairs, and enjoy the view! Sincerely, Brian Young Managing Director

Hi Kim: Our beach is private, and is about 150 yards wide, with gray sand typical of the beaches on Narragansett Bay. The beach is backed by sand dunes and sea grasses, with rock outcroppings on either end. Beach chairs, umbrellas and services are offered from Memorial Day weekend through September. As some of the posts have mentioned, the rooms in the Beach Cottages and Beach Houses also have private decks. Water temps are chilly now (in late May - high 50'sF), but rise into the low 70's in August. Hope this helps - we look forward to welcoming you! Brian

Yes, the bathrooms have hair dryers. The nicest route is to Castle Hill in my opinion is to take Bellevue Ave. past the mansions continuing onto Ocean Drive to the resort. The scenery is beautiful.
