Hawaii always impresses, but Kahala was a true gem. With a private beach, fabulous food and cocktails, outstanding service, and Dolphins onside. Any room view here is great. The heated toilet seats might impress you too :). My teenage daughter loved swimming from the shore to the little island or simply sun bathing on the floating deck in the middle... More

I attended a family wedding at this resort and I reserved here with some trepidation based on the reviews especially in 2014 and earlier. The later reviews were better. I did happen to talk to one member of the ownership group and discovered the resort changed owners in 2014 - which explained the improvement. Hotel is first class. my room... More

This was our second stay at The Kahala. We went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and were absolutely spoiled. We even received a lovely card and champagne from the hotel. Their restaurants are amazing and all the staff treats you like royalty. We will definitely be back.

The Kahala - wow whats not to love! From the moment we arrived to the moment in the grand lobby with its amazing chandeliers, until we left we were treated as though we were really cared for. It is in a quieter area east of Waikiki and Diamond Head which is what we were looking for. A fantastic welcome with... More

A luxurious lobby greets you on arrival and those chandeliers are grand and create a feel of grandeur. Attentive valets do not waste any time to assist you unload your luggage and our guest service staff member was delightful and welcoming. We were given cool towels and a joyful welcome with lays. Unfortunately the joy ended after a long haul... More

The hotel was nice. Friendly staff. Not a large beach to walk on if you like to walk. The rooms were nice and quite enough area that we slept with our balcony door open. Wasn't impressed with breakfast at all. The buffet was lacking in choice and because of that $38 a person was a bit high. Go to Whole... More

The Kahala enjoys a sweet spot - within striking distance of Waikiki, but sufficiently far from the madding crowd to lay claim to "resort of choice" in Oahu. Dear reader, let us be candid with each other. 16 hours flying time in each direction for some pasty Brits to spend less than a week on vacation sounds a little silly.... More

We stayed just 1 night but we loved the hotel, the pool area has a big natural pound for fishes/turtles and dolphins , with some staff feeding and training them. The beach in front is also lovely. Room is very complete, with japanese toilets (shower/drier), tub, and confortable bedding. You can also use suite 101 after your check-out to shower/nap for... More

The Kahala was low key and chill and yet provided great service with a smile every time. At every request with every turn, I was made comfortable and accommodated. The concierge service was great (shout out to Cameron), they booked an entire island hop day that went off without a hitch. Every person I interacted with there had a positive... More

We were in Hawaii for our nephews wedding on Oahu. There was no hotel located near the wedding location..so we opted to stay at the Kahala because it is outside of Waikiki (10 minutes by car/shuttle). This is a breath of fresh air - near Waikiki but with the peace and "Aloha" spirit you find on other islands. This property... More
