An antidote to ordinary Oʻahu itineraries, Romer Waikīkī at The Ambassador is a neighborhood hotel made for more than beach days. Centered around Waikīkī's creative culture, Romer's easygoing guest rooms feature private lanais, plenty of lounge space, and locally-sourced and roasted Big Island coffee. Get courtyard café vibes all day, everyday, or grab a bike and head to one of the city's record stores. Find the best shave ice on the island, hit a block party in Chinatown, and head back for live music and a dive-in movie at the Waikīkī Swim & Social Club.

Hotel's Favourite
I frequent Waikiki throughout the year for work and have stayed at Romer at Ambassador several times. The property was recently renovated, rooms have a nice modern Hawaii chic feel. The pool, Waikiki Swim & Social, is fantastic for a little down time after a day of work. The food is fantastic, one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had. I’m also a big fan of the merch, I’ve grabbed a few things on my last visit. I heard they’re opening a restaurant sometime before the end of the year which makes the property even better than it already is. Highly recommend!

Hi! Before I will say some worlds about the hotel, I want to thank heartily the night manager Gerald( hope to type his name properly), he is originally from France. He is the one who has made our stay comfortable, pleasant and surprising during our check out. The problem was that first several nights we have suffered from noise in the neighbouring rooms. First 2 nights it was a loud music listening. Gerald has quickly addressed the issue, made a call, sent the security. The next night again the same problem happened. Gerald again has managed to solve the issue and we were not disturbed again. But in the third night a company have gathered in a different neighbouring room, there were screams, squeals and some different loud sounds. It was not easy, but Gerald again has solved the problem. We didn’t like that 3 nights we have suffered but huge and soft beds have eliminated the feeling. Once the tea bags were out and Gerald brought them by himself with a big variety and very fast. When we were checking out, it was a surprise when manager returned us the full sum of taxes and fees that we had paid separately for our stay. She told that it was Gerald, who approved with the hotel manager the pay back because of the all the inconveniences our neighbours caused us. That was a real customer oriented service, outstanding personal approach and the will to make our stay unforgettable. Thank you, Gerald for your personal great and customer oriented attitude to the guests! All the best to you and hope, you can be promoted soon. The emotions from stay are mostly made by staff! So thanks to hotel manager, who has hired a great team of professionals!
As for the facilities, the rooms are huge, very new, very cosy and fresh with great and comfortable beds, huge TV, sofa, stationery table, fridge, balcony. It was a pleasant stay there, including a tea pot with tea bags, coffee bags and water. In the lower level, in lobby, there was a microwave, fresh still water that you can replenish, breakfasts can be served as well. The rooms are cleaned every 2/3 days, we had an issue with cleaning service, since I have asked several times to change the towels, to take out the trash for 2 days, unfortunately nothing was done before I have met a service manager. The room staff pretends they don’t understand English , hide from you, are not proactive. Some young reception girls seems to be nervous from time to time. The beach towels are provided to go to the beach as well as pool towels. The location is good to get to main streets, shops and restaurants. There are many supermarkets working until midnight nearby. I strongly recommend the hotel and wish to be back next year! Thank you all!

I was in Honululu for business and The Roamer was perfectly located between the beach and the convention center. It had the nicest, most helpful staff, and a very comfortable feeling. I personally loved the room decor and even took photos to influence an upcoming apartment redesign.
The pool area was a manageable size and was very well kept and appointed and there were quite a few locations around the property to get some work done. Would definitely stay here again.

Hugely disappointing Christmas to New Year's stay. While the valet service was excellent (though a hefty $58/day), the rest of the experience was subpar. Housekeeping was inconsistent, with rooms often left uncleaned and lacking basic necessities like towels and toiletries. Unresponsive staff, cancelled activities, and a disruptive New Year's Eve party further marred the stay. The inflexible checkout policy and the paltry $100 refund offered for a 7-night stay with so many issues felt insulting. To top it off, the destination fee was a complete scam, failing to deliver on any of the promised amenities. Would not recommend.

Gamepop, the experience described is certainly not in line with what guests can usually expect. It is disappointing to hear about the challenges faced with housekeeping and other aspects of the visit. The valet team is glad to have provided excellent service. Appreciation for the feedback about the stay is noted as it helps to make improvements where needed.

Front desk staff was helpful, as was the valet. $120 of unexpected taxes on top of what I thought I was paying was a very unpleasant surprise (check out that nearly 18% tax rate!). we stayed at other hotels in the area during the same trip that did not have taxes and fees so high. There were no pool towels at the pool area. Our bathroom didn’t have enough towels for the number of people on our reservation (and they confirmed the number at check in). There was a dead bug in the middle of the floor of the kids’ room. Pool chairs were quite dirty, which is really noticeable on white chairs. Lobby rugs are truly filthy. Our toilet wouldn’t stop running after being flushed. Housekeeping entered 45 minutes before checkout without us telling them to come in (we even had the do not disturb sign on the door!). None of the things were big enough to really mention to staff in isolation, but all together, they made for a very underwhelming visit, especially considering the price paid. Service given was friendly and helpful, but overall, the experience fell really flat

Paradise16175229699, the team is pleased to know you found the front desk and valet service helpful. It is regrettable that some aspects of your stay did not meet expectations, such as issues with extra charges and maintenance. At our location, taxes and fees are determined by local regulations. The team always strives to ensure a clean and comfortable environment is provided, and your feedback regarding the pool area, bathroom amenities, and housekeeping will be looked into. The team appreciates your comments and hopes for the opportunity to deliver a more satisfactory experience next time.

The hotel location was in the heart of the downtown, very convenient. I felt safe staying here. The staffing - excellent. They were helpful, friendly and always happy. The rooms were clean, they had large bottles of toiletries in the bathroom, the towels and rags were always replaced and stocked. There were tables and chairs throughout to sit and enjoy the nice weather. The pool was well maintained too, I did not have any issues during my stay here, everything went smoothly.

I was pleasantly surprised about this hotel. The hostesses at the front desk were so friendly, we stayed here twice and they upgraded us both times! The rooms seemed to have been recently renovated, were clean and modern. The location of the hotel is a short walk to the beach and the room prices were very budget friendly, a good option for those who are budget conscious.

Excellently located in Waikiki, not far from the beach and Shopping and dining streets.
The staff stands out for their friendliness and helpfulness.
Room with panoramic views of Waikiki and partly the ocean.
The room was made available to us in advance of the scheduled check-in time; we found areas not perfectly clean and on our report the housekeeping service intervened immediately.
The parking is very convenient with valet service, but the cost of $51 is high even if in line with what turns in Waikiki (after all, finding a place in the evening along the canal is like guessing a lottery).
Overall a more than good solution for Waikiki with great value for money.

We spent a week at the hotel and it was very nice.
The location is great, walking distance to the city and the beach (about 10 minutes)
Rooms were clean and large. The pool was well maintained (Here there was a free beer or sangria daily between 4-5pm). Once a week there is also a Pilates lesson. The staff was super friendly. We would definitely come back. Just note that the parking fee per night is $50. We just parked 15 minutes walk away in a residential area in Honolulu for free.

We had the best stay at Romer! The main highlight was the staff; every interaction we had with them during our stay was positive. We really appreciated the water stations which offered filter water, and we enjoyed laying out by the pool, which wasn’t too crowded. The location was awesome - close to restaurants and convenience stores, and a short walk to the beach. We can’t wait to visit again soon!
