The Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa has garnered commendation for its cleanliness, with guests consistently noting the well-kept rooms and public areas. Many visitors revel in the tranquil hotel atmosphere and modern conveniences, although a few suggest the decor could use refreshing. The service receives mixed reviews; while the staff is often described as friendly and helpful, some guests recount instances of unprofessional behavior. Opinions on value and amenities vary, with some guests finding the offerings satisfactory and others viewing them as limited, particularly in the rooms, which are noted for their comfortable beds and views but criticized for being outdated and sometimes not pristine. The hotel's location is a highlight, providing easy access to the beach and local attractions without the disruption of noise.

The hotels choice was based on 2 queen beds and a standard room rate of 60k points per night. staying 4 on your Hilton honors gets you 5th night free as well as avoiding taxes and resort fees. Purchasing points in this case cost $1800 (buy one get one promo) with a 7 night stay at 360k points. thats $257 a night total. 2 blocks from beach and if you are fortunate to receive an upgrade, (we did, ocean view) its really a great deal. The building in front of hotel is a low building so ocean views are straight at the ocean and the surf break. They give you $36 a day for hotel shops, bar, breakfast, Starbucks, you have to try to squeeze breakfast for 2 out of $36. ordering a la carte got us pretty close. The poolside bar had a decent happy hour with some discounted cocktails. The staff was great, desk was always attended. phone was always answered. Purified water stations are in a few spots to fill water bottles. ice machine always had ice. elevators were not crowded and fast. Rooms were cleaned daily to your desired level. hotel lobby and pool were very clean. The 2 queen room was very nice. Modern shower, room safe, and a quite small fridge. Some city noise like fire trucks, loud cars and early morning dumpsters. Location is 5 stars. a little away from the chaos but a few minute walk to beach or the main tourist shop/restaurant area.Good food trailers a block away. Pool area is very inviting, Large gathering spots, fire tables, pool and hot tub. Bags, and a little free mimi golf course Can be breezy/windy. pool is on 10th floor. Thanks Hilton Waikiki Beach staff for a great week.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. The check-in process was welcoming, setting the tone for a positive stay. Everyone we encountered was warm and pleasant. Our ocean-view room was clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. I was impressed with the space planning and the cheerful use of yellow accent colors, which added a lot to the atmosphere. Housekeeping was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a relaxing couples massage at the onsite spa. We splurged on daybeds at the pool, which were very comfortable and provided a relaxing oasis. The poolside food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. I appreciated the friendly and efficient service from the pool staff. I also loved that there were restrooms conveniently located on the pool deck. While the prime rib buffet offered pleasant service, we found the quality of the food to be underwhelming for the price. Being a block away from the beach offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, free from the noise of beachfront activities, while being close enough for quick access. Overall, we highly recommend the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Waikiki.

Overall the hotel is ok but not as well kept as other Hilton’s we have stayed in and some management leave a lot to be desired.

Our check in was quick and easy after a 21 hour delay, Dexter who checked us in was lovely and first impressions was very good.

The hotel is tired in places and most of the draws within the room were broken and falling apart, booked a room for 4 people but had to keep asking for towels as kept leaving 3.

The pool area was well kept and my son loved the complementary crazy golf and games available around the pool.

Breakfast AVOID at all costs, we paid for breakfast and it was shocking during our stay they changed from the MAC restaurant to the buffet, the options were very limited.

I have a 5 year old son and as with most children they can be picky eaters, the one day for breakfast on the hot options they only had scrambled egg which tasted powdering and not very nice, bacon, waffles that had gone all hard and rice, not child friendly at all. Cereal was corn flakes, bran flakes or muesli, there was some frozen berry and strawberries that had seen better days and all bruised and squashy. So I asked for some sausages has they had been available the day before initially was told yes and then the food and beverage manager came over and declined to give my son any sausages, I explained my son isn’t the best eater and there is nothing else he would eat eventually after a lengthy conversation they agreed to do some sausages.

After a frustrating breakfast experience I returned to my room and a general manager called my room, I tried to explain the situation and the manager Henry Perez started to shout at me saying there is not a standard of breakfast at Hilton hotels, he wouldn’t allow me to speak and I put the phone done as his tone was aggressive and intimidating.

Whilst I was informed there isn’t a level of standard at Hilton, from my experience there is generally a good level of service which wasn’t experienced here. I did raise my concerns about it’s with another manager Joselyn and she did apologise but unfortunately Henry her boss never did for his totally unacceptable tone and behaviour.

I have works in customer relations for over 20 years and are very conscious there is a way to speak to people and this was not it, I could have understood if I was nasty but I wasn’t.

The main staff and great and I would suggest Henry takes a leaf out of their book!

I chose this hotel because my Hilton Gold membership expired in March. I went there at the end of March 2024, and check-in was not available, and I was able to enter the room even though I arrived in the morning.
I booked a city view, but was upgraded to a deluxe ocean view. I received mineral water at check-in, and there was a water server at the front desk, so I was able to refill my water every day and didn't have to buy water.
The size of the room is fine for a twin room. This time we stayed with two adults and one high school student, and there were two beds. Since it was a double bed, two people could sleep in one bed.
I didn't see any Japanese people in the hotel.
There were a lot of movies on TV, and not many news programs.
In addition, as a gold privilege, you get $18 x 2 per day instead of breakfast. However, since you have to use it each day, there were days when I didn't use it. You can use it at the restaurant MAC 24/7, the pool bar, the convenience store, etc.
You will be charged the room charge or the receipt when you check out.
The location is along Kuhio Avenue, and you can walk to the beach and the main shopping area. The trolley stop is right in front of the hotel which was very useful.

While the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel isn’t a luxurious hotel, it provided us with every thing we needed during our five day stay in Honolulu. The Hilton has a very receptive staff and unlike other hotels, there was never a wait at the Registration Desk. I loved that I could grab a Starbucks latte every morning as early as 6:30 and then walk over to the famous Waikiki Beach! The hotel has a good sized pool, bar and hot tub on the 10th floor as well as a smaller lap pool off the main lobby. It’s a very family friendly hotel and they have a popular magic show twice nightly, except ( I think) on Tuesdays. The magician is entitled to a night off. He often performs in the lobby and by the sports bar and is very entertaining. While they have a restaurant opened ( and very popular) for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, we preferred dining out . We discovered a great supermarket, Waikiki Market that offers prepared meals and their open til 10pm. The hotel also has a laundry with washing machines & dryers on the 9th floor that use credit cards but also accept quarters. I was disappointed that they don’t have a coin dispenser so I had to go down to the lobby to get change. If you don’t bring your own detergent, you’ll need $1.50 in quarters. The detergent machines do not accept credit cards. We didn’t have a car, we Uber’d and took the public buses to get around. And if you’re over the age of 65, it only costs $1.25 to ride the bus. If you have a car, it costs $40 a night, which is actually pretty reasonable by Honolulu standards! I would definitely stay here again!

About a block from Waikiki beach, it may be a choice to consider, though I think Hyatt or Marriott properties at the beach serve better. Customer service is good, but everything else is not worth a praise.

+ No room cleaning even with request. If you want to trash removed from the room, they want you to put the trash outside the room and someone will remove the trash.
+ If you want shower towels, you need to request them and is only available when you are in the room (again no cleaning)
+ Floor appeared to be sticky on bare feet, may be someone before spilled some coke and was not well cleaned.
+ Accessing elevators requires room keys, be very careful to get out without it even within the building
+ Swimming pool looks like personal sized pool we have at our home.
+ 24/7 Mac (@ hotel restaurant) is not worth it. Oil is greased so heavily on any food and food is not edible or pleasure to eat.
+ May be hotel is facing theivery apparently as per them, towels are RFIDed and tracked when used for pools or beaches.
+ No self parking available, at 50/night valet is available.

Overall other the staff, hotel badly needs rebuild and make it suitable to be a Hilton properly - easily worst Hilton building I had visited.

The hotel is more close to a 2 start hotel trying to make up by wearing an expensive belt.

The customer service is just rude and it felt like I was a nuisance to them.

Food was subpar and completely disjointed from the price. Infrastructure is not only old, but it looks like it lacks maintenance.

The airport shuttle that they're partnered with will leave you stranded in the airport, not reply any emails or phone calls.

Room amenities are lacking, basic stuff like bedroom slippers, toothpaste, proper soap, razor. Even a budget hotel like premiere inn would offer these.

There's not a single microwave in the entire hotel, which is actually funny.

The bar closes very early, which makes the pool experience kinda pointless in a holiday, and the bar fridge is miniscule.

This is a solid 3 star hotel in Waikiki. We are Hilton Gold members and were upgraded to an Ocean View and we loved the view - it's nice but keep in mind it's not ocean front - but we enjoyed the view anyway.

This hotel is older style - lots of wood and carpets. We like the pool area for the mini golf and corn hole games. The pool itself is quite basic but you are close to the beach.

Parking was valet and they charged us $70 USD plus tax for our 7 seater - this was more expensive than the nearby hotels and parking lots - so they can't say it's all hotels that charge this for a slightly larger car - this was disappointing.

Location is a the diamond head end of Waikiki we do prefer being closer to the Waikiki Beach walk but it was fine for a few nights.

The room was not overly clean when we checked in - we looked under the bed and not only dusty we found a pair of someone else's shoes! Covered in dust they look like they were there from the 90s.

The coffee in the room was awful - we had our gold credit and used it downstairs for a few breakfast items but keep in mind it's more expensive than going to Starbucks which is a 3 min walk away towards to the beach.

It's ok for what it is - I think the resort fee is quite pricey and there are many great choices in the area but it is a great value for us of Hilton points.

This is my regular place to stay in Honolulu.

In Waikiki, where prices are rising rapidly, it is difficult to stay at an oceanfront hotel casually.

I am a Hilton Diamond member, so I think of Hiltons wherever I go, but I recommend this place in Waikiki.

It's on Kuhio Avenue, and the trolley bus stop is right in front of me.

It's in a good location, a 7-8 minute walk from the center of Kalakaua Avenue.

The rooms are divided into ocean side and mountain side, but the ocean side has a great view during the day, and the mountain side has a beautiful night view.

They don't speak Japanese, but the staff are all nice.

There is a take-out coffee house that serves Starbucks, but it is only open in the morning, so I hope they will improve that.

The pool is small, but at night the fireplace is lit and it turns into a nice space.

It's undeniable that it's old, but the facilities have been renovated moderately, which is nice, but the closet is inside the bathroom, which is a bit of a problem.
