Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa never disappoints with the wonderful staff, my wife and I have been at this hotel many many times and the reason we keep coming back is the friendly staff along with the great location. Would highly recommend you try this hotel.
We had booked this through Costco Travel. After years of pandemic isolation, we needed this getaway. The bell desk checked our luggage even though we were four hours early. We explored the immediate surrounding area during that time. The location is unbelievable. The first impression from the lobby balcony does NOT do it justice. The check-in line had several impatient guests in front of us, but we are on vacation so just chilled while others complained vehemently. We are right across the street from the beach and the ocean. After receiving our keys, we headed up to the 32nd floor of the Diamond Head Tower for the ocean view. The floor to ceiling balcony door opened up to the Pacific Ocean, along with the sights and sounds of Waikiki. Each day we went down to the pool area to check out chairs and towels for the short trek across the street. The convenience cannot be overstated. While others schlep their coolers, chairs, towels and toys across blocks of busy Waikiki traffic to get to "our beach," we just wait for the elevator and crosswalk sign before floating in the water. Note to everyone. The blue umbrellas and chairs on the beach are NOT a part of this hotel. They are available from the tents on the beach for $30/2 hours; $50/4 hours; $60/all day. You can find other vendors away from the beach for cheaper options. We discovered there is a small, but thriving, farmer's market Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fresh cut fruits, vegetables, crafts, jewelry, snacks are all available. Having three ABC stores within this property is very convenient. We didn't realize the third store in the back of the Ewa Tower until the end of our trip.…
I had a wonderful visit to Waikiki when I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa. The staff was outstanding and treated us like family - particularly the staff at the Regency Club. In addition to the welcoming staff, I would like to include a special “Thank You” to the Reservations Manager, Kelly Doyle, who arranged for us to have a wonderful room on the 38th floor. I strongly recommend the Hyatt Regency Waikiki for both it location and service!
During our January 2023 trip to Waikiki we stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki across from Waikiki Beach and it was awesome. EVERYTHING you could want was within walking distance from the hotel!! The beach was directly across the street, where you could rent beach chairs and umbrella's from Oahu Dive (the hotel provided chairs and towels to guests, so we just got the umbrella). The Hyatt had a vendor/farmers market on-site Monday and Wednesday (weekly) with great fresh food and fruit options! We had an ocean view room on the 19th floor that didn't disappoint...we left the patio door open the entire trip to hear the waves all night long! There are also several island excursions that will pick you up and drop you back off from this Hyatt location, which was great since we opted not to rent a vehicle. hotel also provided two refillable water bottles in the room and a filtered refilling station near the lobby! Check in and out was easy and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, I felt this was a great resort and provided everything we needed for our stay and was in the center of everything.…
Right across from Waikiki Beach w/ unobstructed views of the beach front... I love watching the sunset (late January stay) from the balcony of our room... Room is so comfortable w/ such a beautiful view, loved watching all the surf boards in the ocean; hard to leave. The property is quite spacious and even though in the middle of Waikiki, didn't feel overly busy during our stay from w/in the property. On practical side, facility has coined laundry machines which was added bonus. Special thank you to Grace at the World of Hyatt check-in - she ordered a bottle of bubbly as was my birthday and also anniversary! A very thoughtful touch, made our stay that much more special - thank you!! Also thank you to nice cleaning lady and rest of the friendly staff! Hope to be back!
Friendly staff, beautiful location close to the beach. Easy access to everything. Food is great at the restaurant. Laundry room inside the property. Room is very clean and ready after check-in. Complete amenities.
Very good hotel, close to the beach and restaurants, shops. There was plenty of programs, cleaning was fast every day, jacuzzy is also very good. The view to the sunset in something You never forget. It was fantastic.
We booked this hotel for a one night stay The bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel well located. The pool is a bit small for a hotel this size, but we still enjoyed using it and enjoyed live music on the pool deck. We hope we have the chance to return in the future.
This is my second time staying at the Hyatt Regency and must say it’s one of my favorite hotels in Waikiki. The location is perfect for going to the beach, shopping and great food. They also have daily activities or shows. My room had a phenomenal view of Diamond Head and the ocean. Everyone at this hotel goes above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing stay. I’m a globalist member and was really grateful for the late checkout. I definitely plan to stay here again.
First off, service was amazing. Room was dated and dirty. Walls were painted light blue over the previous wallpaper. Patched in random places. Drain had a rust trail. Toenail on the carpet. Seemingly bloodstain on window curtain. Orange stain on towel. Dusty area behind chair. ripped sheet. AC stopped working every now and then and it’s directly blowing at our heads. Black soot also blows out and fell onto the nightstand. We’ve been consistent patrons and this has to be the worst Hyatt we’ve stayed at.
