Even though we booked a stay in the hotel, they put us in the annex which two blocks away from the hotel itself. Not so nice if you have to carry the bags over again for another 300m. The ladies at the reception were very nice and helpfull, one of them even went with us all the way down to... More

The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely located so that you can walk anywhere (beach, restaurants, groceries, etc). However, parking space is extra. All the hotels in Waikiki beach are expensive, but this one is one of the most reasonably priced. The kitchenette is very equipped, although very old and tiny. The room... More

Staff was very friendly and helpful and made me and my husband feel very welcomed. The location of the hotel is great - only a couple roads down from the beautiful Waikiki beach (a favourite of mine and my husband). The air conditioning for the bedroom helped a lot with the humidity. The balcony although didn't offer great views was... More

This hotel is close to the one of the main boulevards and has some weird windows which cannot be closed, you hear all the noise so it seems like if you slept in the middle of the street. Around 5 in the morning you would here the camions collecting rubbish and making strong noises. So if you want to relax... More

The Holiday Surf Hotel has a main building, but it also has an annex at 2231 Ala Wai, and I was at the Annex, so that is all I can write about. The Good - it was big, clean, and fairly close to the main streets of Waikiki. Also, from the lanai, I had a partial view of Ala Wai... More

I called to book a room and the receptionist Queeny/Queenie was very rude. I told her that was on a business trip and I would be using my business card that has my name on it. She told me I couldn't used a 3rd party card. Now I live in hawaii and my card is with Bank of Hawaii. She... More

Hellish noise, right in front of Ala Wai Blvd, windows do not close. Our room was dirty when we arrived at 11pm. We had to sleep on someone else's dirty sheets and use the dirty bathroom. Absolutely disgusting, but no other alternative so late at night and jet-lagged. They also charged my credit card 2 months before our arrival for... More

In September this should be my first time to Hawaii. I have sent an email to the hotel with some clarification and I did not had any reply back regarding the night charge of $33. Was it for each night or besides the 13.96% Tax? When I made the booking it gave me an amount of $480 (approx) than it... More

Though we stayed in 2013, I have only just joined TripAdvisor so am reviewing retrospectively. In our fifth month of backpacking, Hawaii’ was out first port of call in the US and it welcomed us with open arms. By far my favourite place on the entire planet, I feel in love as soon as we landed. Carmen and the other... More
