The view from my room was great and I loved the convenience of this hotel's location next to many major shopping centers and other regular public services. I also love the room maids regular visits and quality of their service; I would choose them again if I was going solo
Prince Waikiki lived up to and exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the ocean front harbor premier room. The views were amazing! The beds were comfy and the staff were friendly. The location was perfect. I’ll definitely stay here again.
Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-designed. We both commented on the high quality of the mattress and the excellent design of the bathroom. The food and the service at 100 Sails was excellent as usual. We stayed in a "club level room" and stopped by the club lounge once or twice every day for a week. This hotel charges more than we usually lay out for lodging, but we feel that The Prince exceeded expectations and provided good value for the money.
Everyone that works here is amazing! It's nice to be just to the outside of the resort crowd of the Hilton and Ilikai etc. - but still able to able to visit them easily if you are looking for something to do. Same goes for Waikiki. but everything is so close, and the Ala Moana mall is very close too. The park across the street, and less crazy beach there is a nice alternative to hang out and people watch. There are lots of locals folks doing everyday life there. Getting to the freeway to go to the Northshore or the beaches on the eastside is super easy. the Prince is a wonderful place if you want to relax and take in the tourist areas at your discretion. We had a car, and that got us to the north and eastside, but we walked to most places most of the time.
Me and my family had the opportunity to stay at the Prince Waikiki for a quick vacation ton the islands. Overall our stay at the Prince Waikiki was very enjoyable and would recommend to others. The hotel is located away from the main tourist area of Waikiki. We have been to Oahu enough times that we didn’t need to be close to Waikiki; which was only a 15-minute walk for us. The hotel is very close to the Ala Moana Mall which was a 10-minute walk for us. I believe all of the rooms in this hotel has an ocean view, which is great for watching the Friday night fireworks. We were happy to watch the fireworks and avoid the crowds down at the beach. Your room should also give you an awesome view of the sunset. The staff were all super friendly! Not a grumpy face found anywhere. All were ready to help with anything you might need. The room felt homey, clean and roomy. They offer the use of robes and slippers; very nice touch in my opinion. The hotel has enough food offerings that you really don’t need to leave the site, if you did not feel like it. The pool area was great and offers cocktails and food; you have to try the burgers! The lobby offers both indoor and outdoor seating for those times you just want to lounge around. One thing I was disappointed in was the gym. Yes, understood that not everyone wants to work out during vacation. But me and my family like to work out and not have to worry about all the eating were doing. The gym was really small, TV didn’t work, temperature was warm in one section and comfortable in another section. Really wish they would have put a little more thought into the design of the fitness room. I was able to get a work out, so not a total loss. …
I have been fortunate enough to stay at the Prince on many occasions. Every time, it is a wonderful experience. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The views from the room overlook the beautiful Waikiki Yacht Club and the gorgeous ocean. The windows even open to get a beautiful ocean breeze. The elevator is glass and overlooks the interior of the island. So beautiful views all around. The rooms have robes and slippers. As well as coffee maker and hot water pot. Coffee and tea ,as well as a refrigerator . There are restaurants, coffee shop, and stores inside the hotel. As well as being just across the street from the Ala Moana mall, where you could get any restaurant or shop that you could think of. Staying at the prince is a beautiful experience. The staff is amazing
Ocean front is a must. If you want to see the Waikiki fireworks every Fridays at around 8pm, get the high floor in the Diamond Head Tower Ocean Front. Everyone working at the hotel was always pleasant. 100 Sails Restaurant had an amazing buffet and drinks. Rooms are spacious then most hotels in Waikiki.
This was the second stay by my wife and myself at the Prince Waikiki. We returned because the rooms are great (ours faced the marina with a wonderful large-window view). The staff was awesome – totally friendly and helpful. We like the relaxing poolside area, as well as the poolside bar. The hotel's location suits us because it's not only near the Waikiki area, but also near to our son and daughter in law, who reside now in Honolulu. I have only one small suggestion for The Prince: I wish the reading lamps on either side of the bed headboard would have a dimmer. The lamps are great for illuminating those areas, but while watching TV and/or reading I felt they were too bright. Again, the hotel is great, and I'd recommend to anyone planning a visit to Honolulu.
The hotel is located at the perfect spot. You can walk to Waikiki beach and the Ala Moana Mall. If you drive, parking is on site for a fee, but coming in and out is very easy and the street does not have too much traffic. The hotel is clean and their rooms are very spacious and if you get an ocean view is a plus. The only problem we encounter was the shower, water will come out very hot or very cold, there was no way of getting around that.
This was a great resort. The only thing that could have made it better is if it was located right on the beach. But that being said, it was only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach, and the pool area in the hotel on the fiflth floor was fantastic.
