So I had to take a business trip to Honolulu and ended up picking the Aqua Bamboo because of the government rate and inexpensive parking if you book on line. I've been to most of the hotels in Waikiki for business so I thought I would take a gamble and try something different. Now, I can't imagine picking any place... More

Before we take any trip I always search Tripadvisor for a reasonable bang for the buck, location, service, and best reviews. Our trip began with a four night stay at Aqua Bamboo and ended with a one night stay following a 7 night cruise with NCL. Aqua Bamboo is noting short of exceptional for a small intimate property. You won't... More

Amidst the huge chain sits The Aqua Bamboo & Spa, a quiet intimate oasis with the true spirit of Aloha, in a sea of concrete and big hotels. What makes it this way? The employees. Coming in at the end of a long day exploring the island was like coming home. You where greeted by name and you felt you... More

We found a great internet deal at the hotel's website and got a room for $99. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a much larger room with a huge deck and fabulous views over the city. It even had two different TV areas. Kitchenettes are standard. Natural stone floors in the rooms and well designed bathrooms add a nice touch.... More

I stayed in bamboo for 4 nights with my boyfriend, and maybe we were spoiled after the Hyatt on Maui, but we weren't all that impressed. Upon arrival we weren't given a lei, and were shown to a room with seperate single beds. The staff said they would change us to a double luckily, but it would take an hr.... More

A good solution, probably the best, if your budget is not high, for the Waikiki area. Pros: the hotel is 2 blocks away from Waikiki beach (you really takes 5 minutes walking!). the room (mine was at the 11th floor) was spotless clean. Hotel personnel was friendly and kind. the pool area was very calm and nice, the hot bathtub... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. The first night they had us in a kitchenette room which we did not want or request. They moved us the next day with no questions or hassle. That room was awesome with a great air conditioner and a new Kingsize bed. (very Comfy). Pool area was very relaxing and clean, a bit of road... More

Great place to stay. One block and a half to the best stretch of Waikiki Beach. Clean, green hotel with modern decor and extra nice staff. Price is so low for all that you get. One block from the Hyatt and probably a third of the price! I'll be back this summer.
