Very Quiet location, Staff was amazing and very helpful, Definitely recommended, Close to beach, Concierge was great, Breakfast was wide variety to cheese from daily different. Parking is Bit Expensive if you rent a car but Bus stop is beside the hotel, Public transport on island is very good. restaurants are at walking distance. On site tour excursion booking desk available.
The Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach was amazing! We were one of the unfortunate families that had to re-book our vacation due to the winter storm in Canada so all our accommodations were lost. We had to re-book another place on short notice and we are so happy we chose the Hyatt! Location wise was amazing, close to lots of amenities and the flag ship Vintage Island Shave Ice store which was a bonus! The beaches were literally less than 2 blocks away and the beaches closest were great for our kids which were all under 10. Best part about this hotel? Breakfast included! and everyday it was always a different selection! Second best part? You can borrow beach equipment and no extra cost (first come first serve basis of course!) which saved us a ton! The staff were so friendly and amazing, plus they were able to give us a late checkout at no additional cost as well! We will definitely be coming back! As a side note, if you are coming during New Years my kids were able to watch the fireworks (which literally went from 8PM till midnight) from the comfort of our room!…
The staff was very friendly and helpful. On arrival, our room was very clean and comfortable (it remained that way throughout our entire 9 day/8 night stay. Mahalo nui loa to Mildred!). We will definitely return!
Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The view was great. Just a few short blocks to the beach. Room was clean, well-maintained and met all of our needs. Enjoyed breakfast in the open-air setting. I would stay there again.
Other than the 2 issues we were extremely happy The place was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and solved our first issue promptly We had to shift rooms as the air conditioning did not work The second issue was cleaning on our second last day. The only issue I have is the rip of resort fees that you have to pay This is killing this traveller from returning If they are going to have a resort fee put it on the original price and I bet a lot of people would go to other destination as they have increased it now with tax to $44 USD a day. What a rip of to use beach towels and chairs if you could get them
I was really looking forward to my staycation to enjoy the Hyatt hotel accommodations at the standard the Hyatt is known for. Instead, I was met by disappointment. Accommodations were not met at this place for the price I paid. I could have stayed at lower end hotel for the same accommodations and not have paid the amount I paid. It was so disappointing that I decided to check out the day before and just go home for a more realistic staycation.
The breakfast is embarrassingly gross and the elevators are miserably slow. Other than this, the hotel is fine and the staff are very nice. The location is great. Parking is $55/night but you can park for free along Kapiolani Park even overnight (10 min walk). Hyatt Globalists get two water bottles and a $5 snack credit per day (total, not per person).
Top dollar paid for a hotel for poor breakfast and they turned air con off at night. Only VIP people were allowed to have it on. We had to ask to have it turned on. Breakfast was one of the worst I have seen. Eggs were that stuff you can mold to any shape. Coffee was bleh. Airplane food was far better and cheaper. Then charging resort fee for what??? Over all left Hawaii disappointed and felt it was a money grab from tourists.
The hotel was very clean and staff was great. Within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. I recommend this hotel to anyone. They even provide beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, and even volleyballs for the beach!!!
First time visiting Hawaii. Hyatt seemed like a sure thing. This hotel was nice but a little rough around the edges. We booked a room directly from their web site, not through a third party. We selected a room with two queen beds. When we arrived they checked us in and we went to our room which was a small room with a king bed. NOT what we selected via Hyatt’s website! When my sister went down to ask them about moving to the actual room we selected it wasn’t a problem however they charged us an additional $20 a night per person. It’s not that we couldn’t afford an additional fee. It’s just that we selected the room we needed online on Hyatt’s website and paid for the room in full on line before we arrived. I guess this is Hawaii as we know it was going to be expensive! We were moved to room 1936 and the room is nice with a couple of rough areas. Room seemed clean however the tub was peeling and looked dated and there was a large stain on the couch. These things would not make us run screaming from the room but when you think Hyatt you think a nice hotel. What I liked: Room 1936 was spacious Two comfortable queen beds (which we paid for in the first place online on Hyatt’s own website) Coffee machine Refrigerator Tv Pull out sofa couch Desk Close to beach Near busy tourist area with loads of restaurants and shops. What I didn’t like: Booking online through Hyatts own website and selecting a room with two queen beds only to get here and be told it’s $20 additional per person per night. Tub peeling Stain on couch View from room was listed as “city” but it was overlooking other hotels. Get ready for fees for everything! I guess that’s just Hawaii! All in all hotel was OK felt safe comfortable room once we switched.…
