The front services manager, So’o, treats us like family upon our arrival. Every staff interaction we had was outstanding from management to service staff. It’s obvious they enjoy their jobs and interacting with hotel guests. Aira has helped us on several occasions at check in and was a wonderful hostess at the voyager lounge. Rory, our bartender at the voyager club, was fun and helpful. He personally delivered our cocktails while we enjoyed the beautiful terrace sunset. And to top it off, as we were heading home with coffee in hand, we approached Karson from valet, who shared his box of fresh doughnuts to go with our coffee. It doesn’t get better than that!! Great location right on the beach, clean, nicely decorated hotel. It’s our home away from home whenever we visit Oahu.…
The best hotel in Waikiki. Hands down. We’ve travelled to Waikiki probably a dozen times from New Zealand and Outrigger Reef was a stand out. Only daylight comes second. We stayed in an oceanfront room with Voyager 47 access. The staff are incredible from concierge to front desk, club and pool staff and the delightful housekeepers. We had a red eye flight and were allowed to check in on arrival rather than 3pm. We travelled with our 15 year old daughter and tossed up between a 1bedroom resort view or all of us in one room. So glad we went with the view. It was heavenly, hot and surreal sitting out on the balcony seeing turtles swimming on the water right outside our room. The room itself was much more generous than I expected with two Queen beds and a seating area. Huge television, lovely renovated bathroom and heaps of storage for all our bags (we came with 3 and left with 7). There was also enough space for someone to get ready in the bathroom while others lounged around in the main room or balcony. The Voyager 47 club also needs a shout out. It’s fantastic- the view, the drinks and the vast selection of breakfast and afternoon pupus/canapés- it actually put a dampener on dinner because most of the time we just didn’t have room. And did I mention the Mai Tais and Windjam cocktails? Divine. And such a money-saver especially for us kiwis with the rubbish exchange rate (.62cents) The location is perfect. 15 minutes to Ala Moana, 15 minutes in the other direction to Dukes. Despite reports of ‘no beach’ in front of the hotel we swam right out the front no problems and there was room to sunbathe. Much preferred this to the Dukes end of Waikiki where there are so many homeless people camped out and it’s much noisier. We will definitely be back to the Outrigger and recommending all our friends do too. It’s an absolute no brainer. After two years of no international travel this place was an absolute treat and will be hard to beat.…
Hotel has an open air lobby/pool/restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Shopping/restaurants are close by ( no need for a car). Hotel is 20 minutes from hotel. A lot of Hawaii culture activities on site. Would I book this hotel again? Absolutely.
We have had the pleasure of staying at the Outrigger Reef for the past 11 years (10 visits) with our two children. It has always been the most wonderful experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the facilities are beautiful, the location right on the beach is incredible, the staff are extremely accomodating and friendly and the Voyager 47 club is absolutely perfect, every time! Thank you for making our past 10 visits to Hawaii so memorable. We have loved every moment of all of our holidays. We look forward to many more stays at the Outrigger Reef, Waikiki. Aloha and see you very soon. Xxx
The Outrigger Reef Waikiki Resort was excellent, very clean, beautiful, great location, and overall a great place to stay. All staff were super helpful and accommodating during our stay so we will definitely stay there again and recommend the resort to family and friends.
Staff displayed true definition of hospitality and warm aloha spirit. Rick was so kind and welcoming at check in and Karson was caring and attentive at valet!!! Food at Kani Ka Pila staff always smiled and always checked on us!
The staff is incredible!!!! The Valet guys took such great care of us. Had to jump our rental car twice and then advised us to turn the car in, which we did. They looked out for us like we were family. Don’t sleep on the cultural center either; AMAZING! Had a sunset chant/song which blew us away; beautiful songs and good vibes all the way around. Made bracelets and learned more about the Hawaiian language. The wait staff was personable and we don’t have any complaints. Slow it down and catch your Aloha at this place. Anita (Anika)
Lovely location, easy walking distance to many great beaches and the strip! Beach is easily accessible, but rocky in front of the hotel. Best to walk either to Hilton or Moana Surf Rider for sandy beaches. Offers Clean renovated large rooms that can easily sleep 4! The only thing is that from the main floor of the hotel you cannot see the beach!
Mahalo Outrigger! We stayed here for 3 nights as an add-on to our Maui trip and it was fantastic! The renovations have upgraded everything but retained the aloha spirit of a classic hotel. The staff kindly upgraded our room and couldn’t have been more helpful. You can walk to everything from here and the live music every night is a lovely touch. We will definitely return!
This is our second time in ORWBR, last time was 6 years ago. This time we booked Ocean Front Club Rooms for 11 nights. All I can say is WOW. They raised the bar in Waikiki big time with all the renovations. Our room was a double Queen with heaps of room for lounging and a large balcony looking over Waikiki Beach. We were addicted to the views morning and night. We also had access to Voyager 47 club which meant free breakfast, and to our surprise, free h'ordeuvres and drinks from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Quality and selection of the food was outstanding for a free offering. And drinks included cocktails, wines, and beers for as much as you can fit in. Staff treated us like royalties everywhere in the hotel. Nothing is any trouble. We were even upgraded from a regular room we booked for our first night (due to flight complications) to match the rest of our stay for no extra charge. My only gripe was that there is still some construction going on in the weekdays (New restaurant build) and that made it quite impossible to relax in the room in the day time. Even being at the beach right in front was a bit noisy at times from the heavy power tools noise. Aside from that, we were very satisfied with our stay.…
