Beverly was our housekeeper. She was amazing. She was so kind and friendly. Our rooms were always kept well together. I believe good housekeeping when staying at a hotel is very important. Beverly definitely reached those expectations. Thank you!
This is a review of the amazingly talented receptionist who took my call while I was following up on a reservation I made online. Her name was Tessa. She was incredibly kind efficient and professional. She demonstrated all of the amazing client experience qualities I’ve come to know and appreciate from Hilton hotels. It isn’t often that you speak to someone on the phone who exudes a brands promise so affectively as Tessa did. My daughter who was born in Hawaii 17 years ago and is returning to the island at the beginning of August to explore the land she was born in, makes this trip so special to us. Tessa was able to capture the sentiment of that special trip and Taylor her language and her tone on the call to one of empathy and excitement for us. It made us feel like we were talking to a friend and not a business. So special in a world where technology can seem to replace that human connection, Tessa exemplifies how wonderful customer service can be. Thank you Tessa. Jessica and Bella…
She was so kind and took care of us from start to finish. Thank you so much. He helped me with everything from parking to beach towel elevators. She deserves praise!! She always work nonstop from morning to evening, but I never lose my kindness.
Hotels in Hawaii are super expensive as there are many extra fees on top of the nightly rate (such as cleaning fee, service charge, tax and this and that) you’d better catch out. Sometimes all these charges added up can be even higher than the nightly rate itself so please check all these fees carefully before you make your reservation. I redeemed Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach with my Hilton Honer Points so I was supposed to stay in for free, but I landed Honolulu at 9-ish am so when I touched down the hotel it was 11-ish only. They said I could either pay $55 for the early check-in or check in after 3pm. After a long plane journey plus the connection, my husband and I surely didn’t want to wait for another few hours as we were weary. I told them I made a remark about my early check-in when I reserved the hotel and we had emails back and forth a few times— no one ever mentioned about the early check-in fee. Frankly speaking, many of the boutique hotels to world class hotels I’ve been to in different places of the world have never charged me early check-in fee. Usually they’re friendly and kindly say if they have rooms available, and all the time I can get in early without any additional fee. Well, I understand that Covid might have hit the tourism so bad in Hawaii so I’d let it go. As far as the location is concerned, Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach’s a thumb up. ABC stores (a local convenience store) are around and International Marketplace’s just across the street. The area’s always busy so you don’t need to worry about food or your safety. You can also easily take a bus to get around as taking a bus in Ohau’s cheap and easy (feel free to reach me out if you need help). Bus stop’s just a block away. It’s a 5-min walk to Waikiki beach too. There is also a very nice restaurant on the hotel ground floor. The janitors are nice and super helpful, and the view from my room’s pretty nice. However, the room’s considered quite small compared with many other hotels in Waikiki. Overall, it’s still worth staying. I do recommend it.…
Great hotel in a fantastic location right across from the International Marketplace. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Housekeeping do an amazing job in cleaning the rooms each day. Fantastic facilities throughout the hotel. A great stay.
The whole staff was super nice! Especially Josie on the lobby floor was so helpful 🙏🏽 The room was really nice and comfortable. The location is central and easy to go everywhere in town. I would definitely come back again to stay here.
Eleven members of my family all stayed at the Honolulu Hilton Garden Inn. We had a total of 5 rooms. The rooms and entire hotel is well maintained and clean. The staff is so friendly and so helpful. In my opinion the price of the rooms were very reasonable. Very pleased with the location. Two blocks from Waikiki beach and plenty of great restaurant choices around including the one in the hotel.
Josie was very helpful, kind, and beautiful. She gave me and my family a warm welcome, and she even offered to take pictures of us with the Christmas tree. She was very easy to talk to. My room and bathroom was clean and refreshing. The housekeeping was on point. Also, the bed was comfortable, the cooling system was in good condition, and my view was perfect, it was direct sunlight.
Staff are friendly. Rooms are well kept and maintained (Josefina). Firegrill restaurant is a great place to grab a bite and the food is exceptional. The hotel is located near the center of Waikiki and is within walking distance of most things to see, do or eat
Location was great for walking downtown and to the beach. In the heart of downtown and cheaper than the next block over. Room was tight for two couples but we made it work. We were only staying 3 nights and weren’t in the room much. We stayed at a beach resort in Kauai, room was two bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, kitchen and laundry for the same price of this hotel per night. It’s on a quiet street with lots of eating options. Bonus having a fridge and microwave. I’d recommend for short stays. Beds are only doubles though, so be sure that’s comfortable. Good value compared to a block over.
