It's my home. I feel like home there. It's not the best place and not the worst. I just feel like home in Royal Grove and that's it. Not a lot of people like it and other people, like me, feel like home there. You need to try or maybe not. It's my secret, my place, my ohana ! Aloha

This isn't a high-budget, posh location. But what Royal Grove lacks in hotel chain amenities, it more than makes up in old Hawaii charm and prices that allow you to spend more on entertainment or to stay longer! Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Location is super convenient, two blocks from the beach!

I spent 6 nights at the Royal Grove Hotel recently while vacationing in Waikiki. There were a few things that really appealed to me about this hotel. First of all, my room was only $70 a night. Secondly, it's a small hotel (compared to most of the other hotels in Waikiki). Third, it's family owned which I feel gives it...

We love it here! This year all the guests got together and had a potluck Thanksgiving meal, what fun. We love the music/hula sing along too. The staff are friendly and we appreciate how close we are to the beach. The Royal Grove is one of the last true gems left in Oahu. We cannot wait to return.

Every time I go to Hawai'i, I stay here. I've been four times to the Royal Grove. It is family owned and operated. Now, if you are looking for 5 star, this is not your place. Maid service is twice a week. Rooms are spacious and have small kitchenette with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and your dishes. You can't beat...

When my wife and I were planning our trip for the Waikiki Rough Water Swim ocean race on Labor Day, we asked a friend who works for United Airlines for lodging suggestions. Her number one choice, for personal travel to Waikiki, was the Royal Grove. I then read all the great reviews fellow travelers wrote. Now, having stayed in the...

It's difficult to write a review when all you are doing is rehashing what everyone else has already said, but that is all I can do for the Royal Grove. Thirty-plus stories? Panoramic view? Bright, shiny, sparkling new? Fancy restaurant? Concierge? None of the above. So why stay here? Because it's a throw-back to the way things used to be....

I stayed at the Royal Grove from October 7-14. This hotel is a hidden gem. Okay , so it's dated . This hotel is clean , the linens are clean , full size fridge very clean , oven clean . The bathroom was small but clean. There was an outdated larger tv , it worked. The pool was clean ,...
