The Moana Surfrider is the first hotel in Waikiki. It has a historical flare but has been updated to accommodate the current traveler. The restaurants are pricey but the the access to the beach and activity offered are free. It is in a prime location to the strip. It's worth the price and kid friendly.

I stayed at Moana Surfrider for 8 nights. My room was in the original part of the building facing the street. The hotel does have charm and the staff were lovely however thats where my positive comments end. The first night I slept in my room it was noisy, you can hear all the street below, the cars, the people...

yes, it is expensive. but it's Hawaii! It's on the ocean! The people here are so welcoming and the Aloha spirit is evident. Our room was an ocean view (past the trees) but it was a standard room. Still, it was very roomy and clean. Bathroom was also spacious. When we arrived, the agent (Cindy?) welcomed us back (I stayed...

Went to Hawaii to relax for a week. Will say that the mission was accomplished. Overall, this hotel has some great aspects, but there's room for improvement. TRANSPORTATION / CHECK-IN : To save some $$$, book transportation from the airport in advance using a link on their website. You have to book 24 hours in advance - I didn't and...

I have to concur with the reviews about the overcharging at this hotel. We paid $550 a night for a suite for the last two nights of our honeymoon. Pretty disappointing. The room was plain, the bathroom incredibly tiny. The towels like sandpaper across your back. Our room wasn't completely cleaned the next day (dirty wine glasses left, no replenished...

Pros / Positives As a SPG Gold I found Noy in the front desk to be extremely helpful, he was very polite and considerate. I was redeeming an award travel and on his own, he looked for an available upgraded room, gave us a few options and while we were out hiking, handled all the logistics. The hotel is very...

This hotel is well maintained and in a superb location. Pool is small and there are not many sun beds. Rarely got our hands on a bed to relax by the pool. We stayed in a banyan classic ocean club room on the 6th floor. The room was very small, tripped over our bags a few times and ended up...

I booked for 6 nights a Suite for over USD 900.00 per night. Upon check-in I was offered some coupons to redeem for breakfast although it clearly stated in the reservation that I could choose between the restaurant and in-room breakfast so why are you giving me some coupons I asked taken aback. After a lengthy discussion, it was agreed...

The Greeting experience was good, Check in professional and friendly The room was fabulous with a view all across Waikiki Beach The restaurants produced tasty food and pleasant beverages and professional service except for one morning when a server nearly had a nervous breakdown when I took a second orange juice having ordered A la Carte, which I was subsequently...

Didn't meet my expectations. There was no welcoming. No luggage assistance. The receptionist didn't offer any additional service during checkin. I had to ask to find out about the breakfast. They handover to us piece of paper with more information about the hotel. I am wondering what happened to the personalized service?!? The room was small with city view, very...
