Hotel La Croix (pronounced “La-Croy”) is a 192 room boutique hotel offering uncompromising value through a soothing and connected experience that will bring light to your spirit and soul.

Experience the best of both worlds, with both palm-tree filled parks and Luxury Row shops and dining both within your reach. La Croix, means “The Cross” (crossroads) in French. It's a fitting name, given that it prominently sits at the gateway of Waikiki on Kalakaua and Kuhio, the two main streets of Waikiki. Take in unobstructed ocean views, with the lapping waves just a short walk away.

The iconic words inscribed at the bottom of our photo-ready pool offer up our goals are for our guests: to experience the Island’s love + aloha.

We've put meticulous care into allowing our guests to connect with Hawaii during their stay. As you walk along the floors in your room, feel a sense of connection to the locally sourced hardwoods beneath your feet. Along the walls, too, we have routed solid wood piece by piece, just as Hawaiian royalty did at their beach houses over 100 years ago. As you sit on furniture refinished by local craftsmen, take in ocean views from your oversized lanai surrounded by real plants.

At Hotel La Croix, we are grateful of the opportunity to be the stewards of a landmark Property. Our goals are to serve and enrich the experience of our guests from all over the world with our love + aloha.

Hotel La Croix garners appreciation for its prime location, with many guests enjoying the easy access to beaches, shops, and dining options. The hotel's atmosphere is generally regarded as comfortable and guests frequently commend the courteous and professional staff. While the amenities, including the pool and beach gear, are popular, some visitors note a lack of in-room coffee makers and mention room cleanliness as an area needing improvement. Opinions on value are mixed, with praise for competitive rates but some dissatisfaction with additional fees and inconsistent service.

I switched my reservation to Hotel La Croix from Hilton Hawaiian Village because of the strike. I was there for a conference and was really hoping they would honor the workers and switch to a different venue, but they did not.
Hotel La Croix Review:
If you need to work, you may not want to stay here. The wifi is just about nonexistent. If you do happen to get on, you will be kicked off every 10 minutes or so. Work takes 2-3x as long.
The bathroom door is a slider with a 2-3 inch gap when closed. And the shower only has a half wall, no door. We had to get a new bathmat after every single shower because the water just flowed out of the half door onto the floor. Beware, there is a window in the shower that faces into the walkway of the room. There is a shade, but it only goes down about halfway. Anyone sitting on the toilet can be seen by others walking by in the room. We had to cover it with the ironing board and a suitcase for privacy.
The pool is tiny. It’s really just a big bathtub. Dumpsters are in the parking garage (along with all kinds of other trash and junk). Smells really bad. So do the hallways; I am not sure why.
We stayed a week in a kitchenette-style room; a broom would have been nice for such a long stay.
The AC is controlled by a remote that was really difficult to use. This really should be upgraded to a wall unit.
Suggestion: Remove the giant pieces of furniture and replace them with a small eating area in the kitchenette.
I was told we could text to have the car waiting for us, but that never worked. Sometimes, there was no one at the valet stand, and we had to stand around waiting. This also happened when we had to leave late at night to get someone from the airport, and there wasn’t anyone at the front desk either. No one picked up when I called the #. We just had to stand there waiting for someone to show up (even though I texted many hours earlier and said we needed the car late).
Despite all of these minor issues, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It is a great location; close enough to everything in a short walk but far enough to have quiet at night. The staff is amazing. Everyone was so polite, patient, and helpful. With a few upgrades, this hotel would easily be 5 stars.

Nice clean modern hotel in a decent location which is a good value for the money. Staff were very nice. They stored our bags after checkout. No frills but did have most of the basics like fitness and pool. Would have appreciated a coffee maker and iron in the room, but did have a fridge. Seemed like a safe area and not a bad walk to Waikiki. My only complaint was that they didn’t really give me a clear number up front as to the total cost with taxes and fees. They said the room would be $155 plus additional charges (including resort fee). The total ended up being about $214 per night, which was still very reasonable. The room was small and had a balcony that faced a construction site, which was no fault of theirs. They had an ABC convenience store onsite. No restaurant but can order room service and there were many nice options in Waikiki about 5-10 min walk away. We ate at some of the hotel restaurants down there that were super nice and had live entertainment. Food and drink prices were about the same as west coast prices.

My son & I stayed at La Croix for 6 nights. We loved La Croix kitchenette. The room was cleaned every day, some times they forgot few items, but a day before we left, Lisa Ramos did great cleaning, even washed the dirty dishes left in sink. I usually washed them myself before going to bed at night.
I appreciated the air conditioner and balcony to dry out swim suits.
Shower was great too.
The pool was amazing and warm. The girl at the pool bar was the best, very helpful and kind. Loved the dry steam room, free popcorn at the bar and PH alkaline cold filtered water available in lobby and pool area.
I appreciated the free coffee and tea at the lobby in the morning, and opportunity to rent for free chairs, umbrellas & surf boards for use at the beach. No beach towels available, but the oil provided clean towels no problem.
Valet parking was $35 at night, hence I rented car per each day.
Bus stops near by, the nice park, wild chickens running around, and away from overcrowded Waikiki beach. Walking everywhere was great.
ABC store , similar to 7 eleven was at the lobby, so need to leave the building to buy snacks or bare necessities.

Will definitely come back and make friends with the lady in the pool bar, very nice and provided excellent customer service.

This hotel would be great if you did not need any type of service from them. If you did need assistance, they do not offer a phone in your room. It is all text-for-service and they register your phone# as a guest during check-in. After 2 days of our stay and leaving the privacy sign up, all we needed were a fresh pair of towels. I texted the service number provided only to get a response 2 hours later at 6pm apologizing for the delay and asking if anyone brought me towels yet. I immediately replied, “No. No one has knocked on our door.” It wasn’t until another FIVE hours later, at 11PM, I got a response saying, “I can have someone bring you towels now. What room are you?” By this point, I was already asleep. It wasn’t until the next morning, I read the text and was agitated by how inefficient this text service was. Every morning, they text you to reply by noon if you want your room cleaned and if you prefer to keep your privacy sign up to let them know it’s okay to enter. By now, I didn’t trust their texting service since they apparently didn’t know what room I was texting from that night. So, I went to the front desk and spoke to the manager, Sean. He was very friendly, professional, exhibited great listening skills and sprung into action after apologizing for my experience. I told him it was fine and to please ensure someone will clean my room that same day. Well come to my surprise, when I returned 8 hours later, my room was as untouched AND no new towels. However, there was a note under my door to attend a manager seminar for the hotel. No, I didn’t go because I did not want to act on emotion and make a fool of myself. I ended up going to the front desk again to complain about not receiving these elusive new set of towels. Finally, the front desk girl ran to the back and grabbed me an additional plethora of sizes I did not ask for. I thought that would be the end of my interaction with the staff, but I woke up the next morning to a text saying my room was as skipped on Day 3 because I had the privacy sign up. By now, I gave up talking to them. I don’t understand why the manager could not have communicated to the cleaning staff that I personally requested my room to be cleaned. They also should’ve told me that my room was either not going to be serviced OR not. ANY communication would’ve been acceptable.

We got married in HNL and we were so happy to have booked our family at Hotel La Croix. Hotel La Croix was super accommodating - from the valet service (they have such a strong team) that shuffled the cars out quickly despite oncoming traffic, to the hotel management team and front desks, and the housekeeping staff. All the staff members were super welcoming and always willing to help, especially when we had to store luggages or wedding supplies. The hotel was very clean, had great views (if you were on the terrace level with ocean view - you could see the Hilton fireworks on Fridays), and was very accessible. Morning coffee and tea service was much appreciated, pool and sauna were nice amenities too. There's an ABC store right outside the lobby if you need anything and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We can definitely say we came across the most friendly people here in Hawaii during our stay here (this being our 3rd trip to HNL). We also loved all the wedding surprises they had for us; they definitely went above and beyond to make us feel special. Also, they offer very comparable pricing if you book directly on their website instead of through third party. Hotel La Croix - thank you for making it such an awesome stay.

English couple here; we're fortunate to holiday often, but happy to share our 2-week stay at Hotel La Croix has been our most favourite experience in the 7 years we've travelled together. We chose La Croix as it fit our budget, is within a 5-minute walking distance from beaches, restaurants and shops and is a great pick-up location for tours; what we didn't expect was the beautiful team of staff who helped make our stay extra magical. The team were always on call to answer questions, give advice, book taxis etc. and they did so with smiles, compliments and well wishes for the day ahead.
We're a couple that likes to ask questions to make our holiday the very best experience possible. We weren't happy with our first assigned room; staying in the centre of Honolulu is unsurprisingly noisy, so we asked to switch rooms and were supported to find the right room for our needs. We also requested a few things a Brit may need when on holiday e.g. kettle, iron, shower cap, very many towels; happy to say all requests were granted and with special thanks to John and Steph who really went above and beyond for us.
The swimming pool is always beautiful with the most amazing view, the beds are comfortable, AC quiet and the ABC store below made shopping for essentials super easy. I cannot recommend Hotel La Croix enough. We miss you guys already and look forward to returning soon. Love & aloha from the Ktye's in room 509 - 10th-24th September

This hotel is old, outdated, smells, with 1 microwave for use, and charges a resort fee but does not offer a resort environment. No microwave in room, broken shower, smelly hallways, room service is a joke, brown lobby chairs are disgusting and nasty, and the layers of paint in the outdated rooms should be stopped and renovations performed. No restaurant and room service is a joke. They serve bagged frozen food at gourmet prices and is not open later than 7:00pm. The staff was nice but I would never stay here again and I guarantee you could find an actual 4 star hotel with a great location for the price

I loved the room I booked which was the Gold Kitchenette. It's very spacious and there's a separate entryway room with 2 chairs and a coffee table. It was nice to sit and read while the kids played their video games/watched tv in the main room. There's also a small balcony by this entry way area that is separate from the main balcony by where the beds are. The main balcony is probably 2.5-3x bigger than the smaller balcony. We were at room 614 which is on the same floor as the pool. The pool is medium, smaller size and there's a small bar there to the right as you enter that provides towels. I'm not sureif they serve alcohol, maybe just snacks and drinks. We never had time to even get to enjoy the pool bc the kids preferred the beach but we stopped there a couple times for towels. The bathroom is spacious with a nice sized walk in shower that had a built in bench/shelf to it that extended out. There is a glass panel to block the water so no glass sliding doors or shower curtain. This is ideal for someone who has mobility issues. The bathroom door is a wide barn door so very easy to fit a wheelchair through. It's great for my grandma who has an extremely difficult time getting in and out of bathtubs so we always look for walk-in showers when she travels. The kitchen is cute. There are pots/pans for cooking and dishware but I never got to cook since we were always out and just ate at my cousins. The fridge looks small but it fit a good amount of food and drinks. My issues were first the parking which is only valet at like $45-$50 a night. I tried the list they gave me of nearby parking but none of them worked out. Then there was the A/C that broke down the very next morning of checking in which was fixed within an hour of notifying front desk. They never figured out what caused it but after resetting it, it was all good so resolution was within an hour. Then when I checked in, the young lady who helped me just said floor 6 when she should have told me floor P. The 6th floor is listed as P in the elevator. Things were chaotic and I sent the kids up first while I went to go park and I'm glad I ran back after them bc they were confused as was I since there are a couple numbers not listed either. This isn't so much on the hotel but just wanted to mention it as it did affect my rating. Overall, we loved our stay here and will definitely be back and I've recommended to family and friends. It's a beautiful hotel with great customer service!

Hotel La Croix is where you are greeted with Love and Aloha. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. I have so many good things to say about the awesome Team. They are professional , and happy to assist in any way to make your stay comfortable , enjoyable and safe. We stayed here 10/2024 - 12/2024.
The room we stayed in looked out over a park with beautiful veiw of palm trees of different varieties, flowers, lush grass. In our room there were two queen size beds, small kitchen with modern one burner stove, microwave, modern coffee maker, cabinets stocked with plates bowls glasses and cups also really nice set of cookware. In the drawer you'll find silverware. The bathroom is updated. The room Gives the feel of Hawaiian luxury.
Hotel La Croix is located at the gateway to Waikiki. Easy access to the beaches, shopping, dining, and buses.
Pool is beautiful, you'll find a bar that opens 12pm, pool opens at 9am, towels are available as well. The bathroom has a shower with all you need to shower. Oh almost forgot there is room service as well you can have it delivered to pool, there is happy hour as well. Don't recall the time.
There are two nice size washers and dryers down on level 1 (parking) only one elevator goes to level 1. You will also find an ice machine next to the washers and dryers.
Valet parking. very efficient, very satisfied.
House keeping services your room if you don't have privacy sign up. They waste no time and are efficient. Always greeting Aloha in passing.
On tuesday and Thursday 5pm-6pm stop by the front desk to get keycard to be able go up to Terrace, Monkey Pod, there's food and drinks , free of charge. Meet other guests as well Managers host.
Special thanks to Mhila , in House keeping. Vincent, John, Kaya , Vince, Juvy, Jay, as well all the Hotel La Croix team.
Also you will find ABC store in same building.
On Saturday and Sunday , Noe will be in the lobby selling the best banana bread loaf, mango bread loaf, as well some other goodies, made fresh each weekend.
Looking forward to returning next week.

My family and I stayed here March 2024 for 5 nights. The location is decent, but you will need to park your car with the valet. Once you add in daily valet parking fee, the resort fee, this hotel is not as great of a bargain. My biggest gripe, however, is in the 5 nights we stayed, housekeeping did not clean our room a single time! We requested cleaning services several times and all requests were ignored. We got a change of towels once because we saw the cleaning staff in the hall and just asked them to give us some shampoo and towels. Considering we had a room with a kitchenette and cooked, we had keep the food waste, trash, sand, dirty towels with us the entire time. I read previous reviews which stated the same - no housekeeping, so I guess this is a common problem with Hotel La Croix. We are returning to Waikiki again March 2025, and we will not be repeat customers.

Aloha, I would recommend booking a Platinum Suite Terrace, a studio type room with Terrace to relax on enjoying the view of the city nor the ocean. It has a club lounge access which only Platinum rooms can get as a perk. It's a VIP access with benefits of snacks and beverage.

Aloha, thank you for your question. We service the rooms upon request and room cleanliness is the key for every guests comfortability. You can relax at the lanai and I would prefer to have you book a Terrace Suite to because it has a huge space for you to relax on. The hotel is located in between two busy roads so you might here traffic noises.

I don't think they do late check-out. However, once you check out you are still available to use the facilities, the pool has a place to eat and get out of the sun and has a shower. They will keep your luggage until you are ready to go. We experience the same thing. Our flight wasn't till 10pm. We checked out close to the time. We got to leave and come back as often as possible. This gave us time to go and get the last few souvenirs and hit the beach one last time. We had to be at the airport 3 hours early so that time goes quickly before you have to be there. Grab dinner in Waikiki or the airport. The staff here are outstanding. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
