Hotel La Croix

About
Hotel La Croix (pronounced “La-Croy”) is a 192 room boutique hotel offering uncompromising value through a soothing and connected experience that will bring light to your spirit and soul.
Experience the best of both worlds, with both palm-tree filled parks and Luxury Row shops and dining both within your reach. La Croix, means “The Cross” (crossroads) in French. It's a fitting name, given that it prominently sits at the gateway of Waikiki on Kalakaua and Kuhio, the two main streets of Waikiki. Take in unobstructed ocean views, with the lapping waves just a short walk away.
The iconic words inscribed at the bottom of our photo-ready pool offer up our goals are for our guests: to experience the Island’s love + aloha.
We've put meticulous care into allowing our guests to connect with Hawaii during their stay. As you walk along the floors in your room, feel a sense of connection to the locally sourced hardwoods beneath your feet. Along the walls, too, we have routed solid wood piece by piece, just as Hawaiian royalty did at their beach houses over 100 years ago. As you sit on furniture refinished by local craftsmen, take in ocean views from your oversized lanai surrounded by real plants.
At Hotel La Croix, we are grateful of the opportunity to be the stewards of a landmark Property. Our goals are to serve and enrich the experience of our guests from all over the world with our love + aloha.

Hotel La Croix Review:
If you need to work, you may not want to stay here. The wifi is just about nonexistent. If you do happen to get on, you will be kicked off every 10 minutes or so. Work takes 2-3x as long.
The bathroom door is a slider with a 2-3 inch gap when closed. And the shower only has a half wall, no door. We had to get a new bathmat after every single shower because the water just flowed out of the half door onto the floor. Beware, there is a window in the shower that faces into the walkway of the room. There is a shade, but it only goes down about halfway. Anyone sitting on the toilet can be seen by others walking by in the room. We had to cover it with the ironing board and a suitcase for privacy.
The pool is tiny. It’s really just a big bathtub. Dumpsters are in the parking garage (along with all kinds of other trash and junk). Smells really bad. So do the hallways; I am not sure why.
We stayed a week in a kitchenette-style room; a broom would have been nice for such a long stay.
The AC is controlled by a remote that was really difficult to use. This really should be upgraded to a wall unit.
Suggestion: Remove the giant pieces of furniture and replace them with a small eating area in the kitchenette.
I was told we could text to have the car waiting for us, but that never worked. Sometimes, there was no one at the valet stand, and we had to stand around waiting. This also happened when we had to leave late at night to get someone from the airport, and there wasn’t anyone at the front desk either. No one picked up when I called the #. We just had to stand there waiting for someone to show up (even though I texted many hours earlier and said we needed the car late).
Despite all of these minor issues, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It is a great location; close enough to everything in a short walk but far enough to have quiet at night. The staff is amazing. Everyone was so polite, patient, and helpful. With a few upgrades, this hotel would easily be 5 stars.

I appreciated the air conditioner and balcony to dry out swim suits.
Shower was great too.
The pool was amazing and warm. The girl at the pool bar was the best, very helpful and kind. Loved the dry steam room, free popcorn at the bar and PH alkaline cold filtered water available in lobby and pool area.
I appreciated the free coffee and tea at the lobby in the morning, and opportunity to rent for free chairs, umbrellas & surf boards for use at the beach. No beach towels available, but the oil provided clean towels no problem.
Valet parking was $35 at night, hence I rented car per each day.
Bus stops near by, the nice park, wild chickens running around, and away from overcrowded Waikiki beach. Walking everywhere was great.
ABC store , similar to 7 eleven was at the lobby, so need to leave the building to buy snacks or bare necessities.
Will definitely come back and make friends with the lady in the pool bar, very nice and provided excellent customer service.
We're a couple that likes to ask questions to make our holiday the very best experience possible. We weren't happy with our first assigned room; staying in the centre of Honolulu is unsurprisingly noisy, so we asked to switch rooms and were supported to find the right room for our needs. We also requested a few things a Brit may need when on holiday e.g. kettle, iron, shower cap, very many towels; happy to say all requests were granted and with special thanks to John and Steph who really went above and beyond for us.
The swimming pool is always beautiful with the most amazing view, the beds are comfortable, AC quiet and the ABC store below made shopping for essentials super easy. I cannot recommend Hotel La Croix enough. We miss you guys already and look forward to returning soon. Love & aloha from the Ktye's in room 509 - 10th-24th September

The room we stayed in looked out over a park with beautiful veiw of palm trees of different varieties, flowers, lush grass. In our room there were two queen size beds, small kitchen with modern one burner stove, microwave, modern coffee maker, cabinets stocked with plates bowls glasses and cups also really nice set of cookware. In the drawer you'll find silverware. The bathroom is updated. The room Gives the feel of Hawaiian luxury.
Hotel La Croix is located at the gateway to Waikiki. Easy access to the beaches, shopping, dining, and buses.
Pool is beautiful, you'll find a bar that opens 12pm, pool opens at 9am, towels are available as well. The bathroom has a shower with all you need to shower. Oh almost forgot there is room service as well you can have it delivered to pool, there is happy hour as well. Don't recall the time.
There are two nice size washers and dryers down on level 1 (parking) only one elevator goes to level 1. You will also find an ice machine next to the washers and dryers.
Valet parking. very efficient, very satisfied.
House keeping services your room if you don't have privacy sign up. They waste no time and are efficient. Always greeting Aloha in passing.
On tuesday and Thursday 5pm-6pm stop by the front desk to get keycard to be able go up to Terrace, Monkey Pod, there's food and drinks , free of charge. Meet other guests as well Managers host.
Special thanks to Mhila , in House keeping. Vincent, John, Kaya , Vince, Juvy, Jay, as well all the Hotel La Croix team.
Also you will find ABC store in same building.
On Saturday and Sunday , Noe will be in the lobby selling the best banana bread loaf, mango bread loaf, as well some other goodies, made fresh each weekend.
Looking forward to returning next week.
