This is a great place to stay in Vicksburg. We were in town to visit the National Battlefield, and very happy with our three nights here. The owner gave us a tour and recommended Rusty's Riverfront Grill as a good place to eat. (He was right.) The house is beautiful; and our room, The Governor's Suite, was nicely furnished, clean,...

This was a unique place to stay, almost home from home, easy walking to Old Vicksburg, 10 mins to the Battlefield park, quiet neighbourhood and a few restaurants within walking distance. Elvin was around most days and always welcoming, great little garden outside the room door to sit and watch the birds and squirals. Some unique points with pre civil...

This little jewel is well-located for walking around town and several historic sites. Quiet neighborhood, and Very Clean. Elvin welcomed us and was very adaptable with our needs. He's a great storyteller as well when he gives the tour of the home, which is a bonus!

Though the name on their website and in TripAdvisor includes the phrase "B&B," your hosts do not provide a breakfast. However, this was not important to us. Having a full-size 'fridge, electric stove, and microwave in the kitchenette was great. The Governor's Suite was perfect for us - one-person jetted tub, two arm chairs, as well as a very comfortable...

Nestled in the most beautiful part of town ! Antebellum homes surrounding it with gorgeous trees and landscaping. The owners are top notch and we absolutely could not have picked a better place to stay. Can't wait to go back !

We stayed at the McNutt House May 19th through May 22nd in the Betty suite and had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. There was even a recliner in our suite which you rarely find in a B & B or a nice hotel. Elvin and Pam, the owners and wonderful hosts gave us a detailed interesting tour and history...

Arrived in Vicksburg and found the McNutt house easy to get to and located in town close to everything. Elvin met us in the courtyard upon our arrival and showed us to our suite. We stayed in the Betty Suite which was very comfortable. The courtyard is nicely landscaped and very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the evenings sitting on...

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights in May 2013. We should have stayed longer. We rented a room in the Magill House portion of the property. It had a small kitchenette with everything you need. The place was very clean and comfortable and the owner was very helpful. We would stay there again if we ever...

If I was to return to Vicksburg I would be happy to stay here again. Elvin, the owner, was very nice and was really open to sharing the history of the house. The room was quite affordable, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The house was kept very period with many relics to view. I won't tell you too...

“I recommend the Governor's Suite - tho it depends on your needs and preferences. It's all dated but very clean. Three spacious decks with appealing landscaping enhance some nice 'resting' time.”
