The room at the Colonial Motel was small and dated, but was tidy and comfortable. The bathroom was the same. This was exactly what I hoped for inexpensive motel. The host was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The Colonial Motel is a good place to stay because of the friendly service and local flavor. Chain hotels are fine but you may find the Colonial to be a suitable alternative to their sameness. The bathrooms and room are clean and the fixtures new.
I would call the motel directly about pets. That is a very generic question, "Do you accept dogs?" Are you bringing in 14 Pit Bulls or one small little puppy? I would call them to discuss your unique circumstance.
