This was the first of three lodges where we stayed on our "Off the beaten track" tour after our Princess cruise. I was antsy to get off the bus after a 9 hour bumpy slow ride from Valdez when the manager got on and briefed us about his hotel. It seems that the hotel was celebrating Christmas (remember the hotel... More

Stayed 2 nights in September 2016. Room was clean, beds comfortable and view of mountains is beautiful with panoramic views from lobby and 2nd floor on front side. Back side overlooks parking lot. Temperature was in the 60's outside and our room was quite warm upon check in , but cooled off in a few hours with window open .Hotel... More

We had read all the reviews prior to staying here and knew that we just had to attend the nightly flag ceremony honoring the Veterans - it did not disappoint. The music wasn't working this particular evening but the Mgr who so eloquently conducts the ceremony made it every bit as poignant. There was a WWII Veteran there who received... More

A warm, clean, friendly part of Alaska to stay. Part of our off the beaten track tour. Great food and service by all the staff. Thankfully we were there to see the Last Flag Lowering of the season. excellent job done by Mr. David W. Merrill.

We stayed two nights at this hotel as part of our 14-day CruiseTour. Hotel was beautiful and restaurants had good service, food & drink. We were very disappointed in our accommodations. We booked Penthouse Suite accommodations for this CruiseTour and were assured (by travel agent via email & by Princess rep by phone) our land tour accommodations would be suites... More

We arrived at Copper River Lodge by bus, from our cruise ship (Whittier to Valdez). Received a warm welcome, and packet with our room information. The staff is attentive, lodge nicely appointed. Food is very good, with large portions. (After the first dinner, we split our meals.) Prices are moderate: expect to pay $12 for lunch and $18 + for... More

This was by far the best of the three Princess Wilderness lodges we stayed in during our Alaska tour. Independent travelers who are interested in this place should make reservations far in advance as availability is limited. The lodge has a wonderful gathering room with a comfortable balcony area overlooking it. The wifi is only available in those common rooms,... More

We stayed here two nights are part of a Princess cruise tour and liked this lodge best of the three we stayed in (Denali and McKinley). One big lodge with a huge sitting area with cozy seats and a constantly roaring fire. Gorgeous view of the mountains. Enjoyed the early evening nature walk around the premises - nice trail. Room... This was my favorite of all the lodges on the land tour portion. Very out in the middle of nowhere, beautiful location and scenery. Restaurants are pricey in all lodges but the food was excellent. Nice area to play cards or games with friends. Alaska loves veterans and military, and this lodge did an awesome tribute at the end of... More

This lodge is a good check if you are planning to head to Wrangell-St Elias National Park. The rooms are very nice, the lodge is comfortable and the huge picture windows in the lodge offer outstanding views of the Wrangell Mountains. There are National Park Rangers giving lecturers and available for questions. There is also a movie available to watch... More
