The campground seemed well located, and with running water, but many spaces were close together, and finding a space is very awkward as I will explain. In preparation of arrival I read everything I could find about the campgrounds, reservations, and first-come-first-served sites, but I still did not fully understand how to get a site until failing to do so...

We had a reservation in Madison but switched to Norris (which you can't reserve) because it is smaller and seemed quieter and more centrally located. We were there early in the first week of June and recommend that timing as It wasn't crowded yet. A lot of the campsites cleared out on Sunday, so Sunday late morning might be a...

Luckily we got one of the biggest sites and so had comfort and privacy. Many of the sites are close together and some are on slopes so try and get there early for a place. Facilities are ok, slightly more basic than some of the other campgrounds in the park. Nice sunsets from the lake close to the campground.

OK, it might of been our one time experience, but it was disappointing. We got there early to get a site. Mostly it was close crowding, and the choice spots are always at a premium. I'm glad we signed up for one night, even though we were thinking of staying 3 nights. We bugged out the following morning. We had...

We visited after Laborious Day. Instead of lots on room as expected in was packed. Virtually no space between sites and no visual barriers. Late is the year it was a dust bowl. The is a much nicer and cheaper Forest Service CG outside the westpark gate (north about 8 miles) that we used. We would not even bother with...

Flush toilets, running potable water. Even plugins in the restrooms. Great campground. We came the evening before our intended check-in date to scout out campsites that would come available the next morning. Look at the short markers by the sites for the "out #," with the number representing the date the campers leave. Bring a pen so you can make...

My husband and I (and 2 lg dogs) decided to do a last minute 5 night trip to YS in a 20 ft rialta. It is difficult to plan a trip to such an enormous park on a drive from Denver but thanks to visitor center YS magazines, we found Norris. If you really want peace of mind and to...

Good choice amongst the first come first serve campgrounds. We arrived at 10h15 am, we took the last spot available. Its location is central on the Yellostone park. There was a bison in the campground ! The loop A offers a few very nice spots close to a river with a fantastic view. Be prepared, no showers available eventhough Norris...

We were a little concerned about finding a campsite since we were coming on July 1 and wanted 2 sites near each other. By arriving at the campground before 8 am, we had quite a few sites to choose from in the C Loop. The drive through the park early in the morning was also breathe-taking so other than leaving...

We lucked out getting a campsite here. We were very centrally located where everyday we could drive out and explore in a different direction. Overall the sites are a little close here, our site had the fire pit right next to where you had to put your tent so that was concerning but looking at the other sites they were...
