This property provides reasonable accommodation, clean and comfortable at a high price but that is to be expected in the Park. The location is excellent with easy access to the Canyon, Hayden and Lamar valleys.

I’ll never understand some of the reviews and unrealistic expectations of reviewers that I read on this site. You will spend money on a trip to YNP especially if you wish to stay in the in-park lodging (more than you may wish). Plan for it. We had a fantastic experience at Yellowstone. We stayed five nights at the Rhyolite Lodge...

The problem with Yellowstone (like Yosemite) is that there are very few places to stay within the park boundaries and because the parks are so big you really do need to stay within the park to be able to get around more easily. As it is drive times are long and therefore Xanterra have a captive audience and can pretty...

Disappointed. Nothing is convenient here. The facilities are all here but it's laid out so poorly. Also the services and outlets seem scheduled to create maximum wait times. There isn't enough parking near the multitude of guest room buildings. They have to run shuttles between the main "lodge" (mid-century styled motel check-in building in a strip-mall) area parking and your...

We booked our room at Canyon in Sept 2015 and asked for a ground level room. We got a wonderful ground floor room--refrigerator, coffee machine, beautiful view out the side, convenient to ice machine, water filling station and recycling area. It was lovely--only downside was the housekeeping was lacking--they did not vacuum daily, nor make up the beds properly (pull...

We stayed at the original Canyon Cabin Lodge about 6 years ago and enjoyed it so much that we booked again without reading reviews. Huge mistake. The lodge in past days was comfy and cozy with a real log cabin feel to it. These were blocks of single floor buildings with nice front porches and rockers from which to have...

We booked and made a deposit for 3 nights back in March for a September stay. Due to circumstances we had to change the reservation twice which was no problem through the 800#. After registering at a separate building by the Visitor Center, General Store and Canyon Lodge, and after being asked for a donation to the park, we were...

We stayed as a couple at the Moran Lodge of Canyon Lodge. Newly built cabins, they are perfect. Reservations are hard to get but we got lucky because of some cancellations. we stayed in a 1 queen bedroom suite, it was good for us. everything in the room was appointed very well. I have long hair, didnt had to worry...

We actually had an RV and my husband came in a few days after us so added on a room at Canyon Lodge. It was so new it still had blue tape where they needed to come fix things in the final walk thorugh. It had just snowed (IN JUNE!!!) so we were thankful to have a chance at a...

We stayed in a western cabin, which would have been a short walk from Canyon centre, but in the rain we chose to drive! It looked out onto woodlands and we saw elk and a bison there at sunset. The room was huge and well appointed, with all mod cons and an efficient heater. The only slight downside was that...
