This is a wonderful location that has four season charm. It is sometimes difficult to get into during winter storms but it is magnificent. Mt favorite are the cabins on the river. Christmas dinner is spectacular but requires early purchase through a lottery system.

We stayed over the weekend. On checkout, about 8:30 am, there was no hot water for a morning shower. Called the front desk and was told the power was out and the hotel was running on a generator. Other then that, the hotel is the most comfortable in the park.

I greatly enjoyed staying at the Ahwahnee (currently known as the Majestic). The hotel is located at the east end of the valley, away from traffic. You can park in the lot and take the shuttle bus everywhere from there. (And if the lot is full, just give the car to the valet - the service is free). Be sure...

DINING ROOM - called "fine dining" in their literature. This is true from the standpoint of the room which looks like Hogwarts in the Harry Potter Movie. However, be sure to get reservations otherwise you will not get in. However, the room is never full. I think they have short staffed the dinning room and kitchen so they do not...

Don't let the recent string of negative reviews stop you from an overnight visit at the Majestic. But IF you book, also understand you will not find Frette Linens, or plush robes or towels in this "luxury hotel". Go here for the history and the majesty of the hotel and the views, and the location, location, location! Maybe because I...

This was my first visit to Yosemite and the Ahwahnee Hotel. The hotel staff was great, everyone from the bell stand to the front desk to the room attendants were so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was honestly a little disappointing for a luxury hotel. I travel quite frequently and was expecting a Four Seasons level experience given we...

The Majestic Hotel is by far the best hotel on the Yosemite Valley floor, and likely the best in the entire area. This historic and grand hotel is situated in prime nd no doubt saves previous time during short visits. As with all historic hotels, the rooms are.... old. Power points were sparse (but available), and the rooms are lacking...

Visitng and staying in the hotel is a big treat. We had a great room and view. Very attentive staff. But the meals in the dining room were terrible (to put it nicely). How could such a great hotel prepare less than standard fare? We have been told that it is due to the recent change of management. So if...
