Beautiful dining room, delicious food and great entertainment for kids (and adults) with your own Etch A Sketch. Highly recommend it. New York steak cooked to perfection, crispy fries, yummy haricot verts. Don't miss it!

For my wife and me, the $500 per night was a big splurge, and we were expecting something special. What we got was a 15-minute wait to check in, and a very disappointing room. We were expecting rustic and old but well maintained. Instead what we got was chipped paint, chipped toilet seat, a touted view of Yosemite Falls that...

Greetings Steamplayer, I was disappointed read that you found your recent visit with us to be one star. While we do try to maintain the historic character of The Ahwahnee, chipped paint and toilet seats do not factor into that equation. I am hoping you will share with me in which room you stayed so I can have our Executive...

We stayed here for two nights as we were told it was a 'must' if we were going to visit Yosemite. Fantastic view and location, and has a shuttle stop right outside. In terms of a hotel, it's expensive for what it is but I guess it's one of those things you need to decide whether or not you will...

A splendid old lodge in an unbeatable setting. Prices are really high but worth it. The huge dining room and lounge are breathtaking. Food is very good. Many of the staff have been there for dozens of years. We are going back in the winter, hoping for snow.

The Ahwahnee really is a special place to stay. I like that you have to dress up for dinner in the huge dining room. The staff was very helpful - let me check in three hours early and gave us a room with a view of Half Dome, then let me park right out front when we came back to...

Location, location, location. This Hotel is in a wonderful position in the Park. The rooms are well appointed and the Hotel is in very good condition for its age but retains all the character of when it was built. I believe all the room has views but opt for the upper floors. OK its expensive but worth it The concierge...

My wife and I splurged on our 18th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Ahwahnee. It was a fantastic experience and worth the additional expense. The hotel is amazing and the service was first class and friendly. We stayed at the Yosemite Lodge the next night and all we could talk about was how much we wished we were back...

The Ahwahnee is one of the country's great national-park lodges. Built in 1927, it has kept its classic style while being modernized for 21st century expectations. (The shower and the toilet in our room were not water-thrifty, but all the creature comforts were up to date.) A one-word summary of the place would be "magnificent". We went in May, before...

My first stay at the Ahwahnee was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Beware that the Wifi is barely useable. However we did not care as we were in the middle of Yosemite Valley. Service was friendly and prompt.
