The bed was very uncomfortable. The noise from the active family with kids above us was the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel/motel. It was mostly their fault but by the end I became convinced that the subfloor materials were not very soundproofed. The room had a ton of space and the property was spread out with tons of parking space. There was no breakfast due to COVID which is now just a weak excuse by a hotel property. There is no reason related to COVID that necessitates removing breakfast from listed amenities. Knowing this, we went to the local market and dropped over $100 for 3 bags of groceries. Not impressed with Springdale. There is so much potential for this property and the town as well.
A group of friends stayed in the family suite, just steps from the pool and whirlpool and a quick shuttle ride to anywhere in town. Vouchers for breakfast at Oscar's provided wonderful meals every morning. Our patio provided a comfortable spot to relax with coffee every morning and recover from cycling and hiking every evening. My only issue was the noise from the room above us, despite our request to the front desk who claimed to have never gotten a complaint by claiming their building is solid, we endured two hours of stomping noise each night.
I left my favorite pillow when I checked out. they found it...washed the pillow cased shipped it back to me almost before I got home ! The only problem I had with the room was with the coffee maker but I just could not figure it out and they came right up and gave me a tutorial!
We were so pleased with our six night stay at The Driftwood Lodge. Our room was sparkling clean, very spacious, and the view of Zion was spectacular, both from inside our room and outside on our lovely patio. It is about a mile walk to the shops and restaurants in Springdale and two miles to the Zion entrance or you can take the shuttle which stops in front of the Lodge. The Virgin River runs right behind the property. It is a very quiet and peaceful location. Highly recommend!
I spent a night with my family at the Driftwood Lodge in Springdale, UT. A very noisy night with an unsympathetic front desk. Terrible customer service from Sara the manager in the morning. If you are looking for a quiet nights rest without partying neighbors, this isn't the hotel for you.
