The EcoLodge is situated in one of the most stunning areas areas you can imagine. The clear greenish water flows just behind the bungalows on the hill and to the rear of the restaurant. You will see local Lao people fishing there, drinking, and doing some occasional laundry in the river. The area is quiet, and built for relaxation with...

We had a pretty awful experience here in that it didn't seem to be open. The "restaurant" only had 2/3 things a night and no beverages at all..no water, beer, soda, etc. When we booked we were promised free transport to and from town, which didn't happen. So when we wanted to go somewhere we had to mime "call taxi"...

Had a very good time there! The place has nice bungalows and fancy hotel-style rooms and it is about 10 km away from Vang Vieng. The view is absolutely lovely and there is a nice campfire area at night. You also feel close to the local population with children playing in the river and people bathing and washing clothes. Basically,...

We were a little bit dubious about going to VV given its party/drug reputation, but we were so glad we did! As other people have said this is not an eco lodge in the way that it makes obvious attempts to reduce its impact on the natural environment, however the views from the bungalow balconies just about makes up for...

7km outside of Vang Vieng at the end of a dust road, that parts from the main road. Very quiet location in the middle of nature and next to a small hamlet. Highly recommended, but be aware that the bugalows are quite basic. There is no AC and lots of small insects have access. The mosiquto net was new and...

We stayed here on a motorbike road trip from Pakse to Luang Prabang. We were glad we didn't book a place in Viang Vieng itself, and avoided the stoned Australian teenagers. A few kilometers out of town, this place is at the end of a rural dirt road, and consists of small wooden chalets, each with their own verandah, arranged...

Stayed here one night recently. Some 7 Km away from the hustle and bustle of Vang Vieng this is an oasis of calm. Great little cottages, 25 $ a night (high season), great view, right on the river, the place is fantastic. Don’t expect high standard but decent enough to make you feel very comfortable. You can also start your...

This place is a fair way away from Vang Vieng town (around 7km), and that could cause a problem for those without transport, though the staff can arrange it for you also. The huts are fairly basic, but hot water, mossie net and a fan are there. What really sets this place apart is the view and the peace with...

I stayed here twice going to and from Luang Prabang. It is basic accommodation in a scenic location. Can hardly be called "eco-lodge". Given options of accomm in and around Vang Vieng it is a decent enough choice for a 1 night stay.

First of al this is a very good location if you want a great view and a quiet stay. The eco lodge is 7 km out of town and so you can avoid the party’s to 5 am. The staff is very helpful, but only one speaks English and that is enough. Be patient and everything is easy to go....
