We came to Vang Vieng in early October 2016, during the low season. We drove around town and found this guesthouse situated just beside the river. Even though it was quite pricey (1300 baht/300,000 kip for one night's stay), we decided to stay here as we liked the quietness and relaxed environment beside the river. Also, we had been to...

The rooms were nice but very basic with walls that were very thin. and each morning we were woken by construction right behind the building we stayed in. But the location (apart from building was very good) away from the main strip but not too far from everything that went on. And right next to where you get the tubes...

Location was good with nice views and very central to the action of VV. Unfortunately our room was kind of crappy. No mosquito net which are probably needed. Our bathroom door wouldn't shut so we had to tie it closed. Then the shower fell apart. Beds were OK and there were chairs on the front deck. I would highly suggest...

This place is a GREAT value, quiet, tranquil, and safe. The people working here are always smiling and happy. I felt very good here and stayed 6 nights instead of 3. In fact, I liked it so much, I plan to return for a few more days :)

Cheapest riverfront bungalows according to lonely planet, this establishment has a wide range of room prices to choose from. Ours was a second-cheapest option (60 th. kip) and had private bathroom and river-throught-the-trees-view. Room was basic, with palm-leave walls (perfect audibility) but that was enough for us since after days full of trekking, cycling and mountain-climbing we slept like logs...

Stayed here for couple nights during our tour of Laos. Thought we would try a back packer type hotel, not mega cheap but cheap. We got what we paid for I can say that. Smelly, mattress filthy. Shower freezing! I used my new travel pillow first night there, 2nd night it had gone????? Not good experience in all. Wouldn't have...

These cabanas are very clean and in an awesome location just on the river. The hotel offers laundry and food, but going to eat in town is just as amazing. There is free wifi in the lobby and you can pay for air condition in the rooms if necessary. Loved the big porches and the central cabana for friends to...

This guesthouse is situated by the river. Vang Vieng is basically 2 streets lined with bars and clubs that play loud pumping music all night long. Great fun, but if you want some sleep after a day of tubing then it's best to stay away from the main area. This is one of the only quiet locations, only 2 minutes...
