Lovely location with spectacular views. The rooms are spacious and more of a basic lodge style, perfectly adequate. The pool area is great to relax and just chill out. The gardens are lovely and well kept. The food, both dinner and breakfast were very good...More
Probably the best hotel currently in Vang Vieng, the street which you drive down to the hotel entrance gives one a cause for concern as to the quality of the property. Be assured, once you cross the property line, you are in heaven. The road...More

beautiful resort with good staff.
It is recommendable for all groups.
Not too close from the main center but in 10 or 15 minute walk you can reach the center. For tuktuk they normally ask for 30000kip. Good swimming pool and breakfast too.

Yes, we took a private transfer from the Riverside to Luang Prabang. It was quite expensive and probably not worth it if I'm honest. The hotel were surprised that we wanted a private transfer when they offer a minibus service themselves. I'd go for this option instead as the journey time is not significantly reduced with a private transfer. It took about 7 hours door to door with a couple of quick stops on the way. The journey is beautiful and you see a lot of 'real' Laos along the way, and a lot of different geography from flat plains to windy mountain roads.
Honestly though, I'd take the hotel minibus over a private transfer. It will save you money and not take much longer.
