Didn't see any elephants !! Great location, beautiful setting on the river with a background of mountains. Staff helpful and friendly. Situated in the town and within walking distance of restuarants and shops

Stayed 2 nights in vang vieng which was mistake one - vang vieng must be the most boring town in Asia - full of young backpackers lying around watching old re-runs of "friends" on tv in bad restaurants. It's a pity vang vieng has gone this route as its a beautiful location. Hotel is idically situated on river with views...

we came back here after 4 years and it's still a great place at the quieter end of Vang Vieng, well trained staff with reasonable english skills, stunning location, small rooms with good sleep quality and a superb riverside terrace for breakfast and dinner

The hotel is pretty big. Rooms are ok and the location is in a quite area in front of the river. I would say that the service is not at Top Level, lazy staff with some problems with English not always prompt. But ... You are on vacations, so you should be more comprehensive. You are in Asia, so you...

The Elephant Crossing was very nice and has incredible views. Breakfast included with nicely made eggs and a small buffet. Right on the Song river and overlooking incredible mountain scenery reminiscent of the strange peaks of Halong Bay, Vietnam. Very nice!

The best thing about Elephant Crossing is its location. Situated right on the river with a decking verandah overlooking the river and the mountains. Having breakfast or a drink there is an experience in itself. The rooms are quite spacious, the facilities good - our room (on the ground floor) had a small verandah unfortunately overlooking the car park. The...

We stayed here our first night in Vang Vieng. We walked in and they only had one room left so definitely book in advance if you do want to stay here. The room was beautiful, although the plug in the bath broke the second I touched it. Great balcony looking over the river. The bar/restaurant is in an amazing location...

This could be made into a wonderful hotel but it is in need of renovation as the rooms are scruffy. The shower was good, comfortable bed and air conditioning but you get 2 bent coat hangers on a hook and no stowage space for your suitcase. The decking overlooking the river was a good spot for a group meal and...
