Stayed here with my mother for a couple of nights. The staff couldnt have been nicer or more helpful and the hotel itself was great. Really nice views of surrounds and the rooms were extremely clean and charming. Its a short walk from the centre of town but the walk itself is pleasant with fields and friendly locals. Certainly preferred...

The gentle decay of this quirky little hotel was tolerable because the rooms were clean, the Internet worked and the staff were friendly enough. The 15 minute walk into town was a bit of a annoying. Talking to others in town, apparently the guest houses are no so good either.

The hotel is a bit outside of the "city center". There is lots of decoration which can make it a bit surprising at first sight but rooms are quite big. In ours on the ground floor the bathrooms really showed their age. The owner speaks really good English and is really helpful. The tours that she sells are however REALLY...

Although being somewhat dark (old Laotian style), the rooms are clean and well equipped, and we found the staff friendly and anxious to please. Very good English was spoken by the owner and her daughter, so there were no communication problems on our visit. Breakfast was basically what we wanted - fresh fruits, omelettes and good Lao coffee. Like another...

It is old Lao style hotel located a little out of town (20 min walk). It has all the comforts that one need but it is the staff that brings this place to life. The owner of the hotel was one of the first to try and open Phonsavan (the plain of jars) to tourists, his family now maintains the...

This hotel is a little way off the main town road, but is quite well-known to the tuk-tuk drivers at the bus stop. The rooms are air-conditioned and clean, with western-style bathrooms and clean linen. The reception area of the hotel has couches and a coffee service in the evenings, which makes it a great place to relax and read...

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and eager to help. The food in the restaurant is simple but tasty. Those are the positive points. The rooms are quite dark and dreary, as is the restaurant and the lobby. The first night I stayed here I was the only guest, which made it even more dismal. Also it is...

It's a 15' walk to the town centre, but really that's OK as there's not much going on there anyway. The little hotel has spacious rooms, clean and noisless. Dining in-house is delicous, a good variaty of offerings, no wine... Breakfast also very good. The hotel will arrange tourse to the nearby plain of jars upon request.

We were the only guests and got chatting to the owner. This resulted in a lovely dinner- recommend just as a restaurant, some interesting stories and a documentary. Comfortable room, internet in the lobby and an interesting decor combining alpine cabin and old bombs...

Stayed here at the beginning of rainy season to visit Plain of Jars, didn't seem many other tourists in Phonsavan, and seemed a bit like a ghost town. The good - for $30 a night, room was very spacious, bathroom very clean and even had shampoo, tv, working fridge (although you have to plug it in), hairdryer and coffee/tea making...
