Careful
PVR is a nice hotel at the South end of Ngapali Beach. It is next to the fishing village, so the beach itself is dotted with boats. As has ALL of Ngapali hotels these days, prices have skyrocketed through the roof. Be forewarned - hotels charge you IN ADVANCE...so I suggest paying per night. If your itinerary should change for any reason, you are NOT given a refund but a credit voucher to be used within a short period of time.

Nice place but disappointed with the service
We stayed 7 nights at this nice location. 2 adults and 3 kids in a double cabin. When we arrived there were only 4 beds. We asked for the 5th bed and the message was that they would charge us 50USD per night. Via our travel agency we managed to get it down to 25USD. The stay was pleasant with a view. However the experience was a bit ruined upon checkout when we were presented with a bill of 150USD because they could not clean the sheets and pillows. We did not do anything out of the ordinary like throwing a party. This must be included as a running cost in a hotel at this price level.

A lovely week at the end of a fabulous tour
Wow where do I start we had a fabulous time at the lovely Pleasant View Hotel snd relax on the beautiful beach? We found the staff very friendly and extremely hard working. Breakfast was good and lovely to sit and watch the world wake up. We spent long walls and used the bikes which were free to explore the surrounds. The sunsets were fabulous and I really believe this is one of the best spots on the stunning beach. This was the perfect end of our time in Myanmar after a busy but wonderful tour exploring Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake. We didn’t want to leave!

6 days in a beach bungalow
Our room was facing the beach and that is where we stayed most of the time. There weren't many people in the hotel when we were there and we had our choice of beach chairs. The wifi was excellent and reached the beach. The restaurant where we had our breakfast was sometimes closed at lunchtime, so we ate most of our meals along the road.

Heaven on the beach
What a lovely place. We thought we had arrived in heaven. Beautiful reception area. Beautiful Pool. Large rooms with a spacious toilet shower area. A stone's throw to the beach. Lovely breakfast with a view. Spectacular restaurant on a rock in the ocean. Beautiful white sand beach.

Hi, as a single lady who like to walk and eat out every evening, is the beach walk difficult ( alone) to the restaurants further up, and is there a road to walk along too ? Are there taxi options from,the restaurants back to the hotel ? Thank you all .

Not on the beach by PVR, only on the street. Bars and restaurants on the beach are the other end of the beach 30 min walk.

Bonjour je souhaiterai savoir que veut dire un plat couteux si près de l'hôtel il y a des restaurants quelques tarif,le shopping est intéressant merci d'avance pour vos précieux renseignemens et une partie de pêcheurs ils faut prévoir bonne soirées
Oui, il y a de nombreux restaurants tout près de l'hôtel. Les plats sont à environ 4-6 euros. Pas beaucoup de magasins pour faire du shopping. Bonne soirée.
