We booked the Mandira Dickoya bungalow last weekend for one night and it was such a great stay. The property is well maintained with beautiful and elegant interiors. The staff are very attentive to all needs and are more than happy to help you have a great stay. What really is striking is that personal touch everyone at the property...

Staff and the service was friendly, supportive well mannered and they were the best staff I've ever met in such place. Ravi, your meals...

It looks great... the rooms are beautiful... really lovely... but the details just don't quite work .. i.e. There's no where to put your soap or shampoo etc when you're in the bath ( yes there is a nice bath!).. the shower looks great ... but water leaks out of the door and the floor becomes lethal... The food is...

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Mandira Craig Appin Bungalow, and having booked 'the family room' chose to spend a lot of our time holed up in our two-bedroom suite. Facilities were excellent and the beds, a delightful nest in which to curl up and sleep. Two things jumped out in terms of service - firstly,...

Mandira bungalow is a lovely, well decorated hotel set in the wonderful surroundings of the tea hills near Hatton. The rooms were spacious and the staff all friendly However, there were plenty of issues. On arrival we were only greeted by two young staff who tried hard but spoke very limited English. We had plenty of questions but these went...

Family of four stayed here for one night whilst travelling across the country. We arrived ahead of time and they served us tes in their beautiful garden whilst we waited for the room to be ready. The chef Suriya makes your meals upon requests (made to order yumminess) was the highlight of our stay. It is a most charming and...

Beautiful location, great view, relaxed and truly dedicated staff. Ramakrishna, the chef, provided the best food we had in the country. The staff was quick to accommodate any request. Large comfortable room.

There is a lovely old colonial/English feel on arrival to this hotel/bungalow. All rooms are inside at this Bungalow and there are about 5 in total. The Surrounding views in Hatton are beautiful. Lots of tea plantations etc but none you can actually visit and tour without the hotel...ill come onto that further down. But it was a total waste...

Area surrounding Hatton is beautiful. However, we had bad experience trying to view the tea plantations and we felt very badly let down by the General Manager of the Hotel. Our driver took us to the Norwood estate, which is the local tea estate, so that we could tour and view the plantation and factory. However, apparently the tea factories...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As our name suggests our bungalows are of either architectural or historical interest, all offering much of the atmosphere of Sri Lanka’s glorious past. Experience a style of gracious living and soothing relaxation sometimes so scarce in the modern, time pressured ‘civilised’ world. Each bungalow is a haven of peace and tranquility in some wonderfully quiet corners of Sri Lanka. Each is a place where service is founded on instinctive hospitality, where the food is pure delight - and where quality and attention to detail keeps us awake with the desire to serve. ... more   less
