We stayed here in January for two nights in the Tiestin Bungalow. It's the furthest from Hatton and located up in the hills. As the oldest house it had character and charm. The service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. Don't worry if you stay her and aren't on the lake, our Butler arranged a day tour for...

This was my favourite place we visited on our two week trip in Sri Lanka (we had been in the south coast beach before). We stayed in the Norwood bungalow. The location is dramatically beautiful and the concept of the hotel is so unique, you feel like you staying in an extremely well run and luxurious private home. The service...

When making our travel plans we had so many wonderful options in Sri Lanka we almost passed up going to Ceylon Tea Trails. I am so very glad that we included it as the property was our favourite experience in the country by a wide margin. We travel so much and stay in so many gorgeous and unique spots that...

Loved the tea trails. The cottage is quaint and very comfortable. The views are superb, the staff courteous and well trained and the food delicious. Only Summerville, dunkeld and castlereigh have views on lake. Tiensin is oldest bungalow and is close to the road as well as the village so can sometimes get noisy.

Thanking Sanath and his team at Norwood Bungalow for seriously exceeding our expectations. An unbelievable few days. Set high in the hills with wonderful views over the Castlereagh reservoir and Adams Peak, Norwood was the perfect place to swim, relax and walk through the surrounding tea gardens. The chef produced beautifully cooked and artfully displayed food, with a three-course lunch...

Set some 4000 feet above sea level this was our romantic New Year's Eve 2017 destination of choice and we weren't disappointed. With full board and lodging for three days, we stayed in the Shuttleworth Master Suite and were delighted first by the attentive staff, second by the special seven-course menu for New Year's Eve, and then consistently by all...

...it's certainly up there with the best! We stayed at the Castlereagh bungalow for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and I couldn't fault the place if i tried! It's incredible...so laid back and luxurious but not in the same way as a 5 star hotel. This place offers a far more unique experience with a...

True boutique hotel. Tea trails (a Relais & Chateaux property) has 5 bungalows, this review is for Teitsen bungalow. Pro: Teitsen bungalow is the oldest of the 5 bungalows and the building has a lot of character (staff agree). Thoughtful staff and personal Butler service (in-room buzzers). Gourmet experience - breakfast English/American or Sri Lankan option; lunch, high tea, dinner...

I cannot say "wow" enough about the Ceylon Tea Trails (Norwood Bungalow). I don't know if a better hospitality experience exists -- in Sri Lanka, or in the world at large. Sanath, who managed our stay, was attentive and gracious. The dining was some of the best I've had (better than most meals back home in NYC), and my entire...

These bungalow's cannot be recommended highly enough. We are seriously considering a third trip to Sri Lanka just to spend a few more nights here. We were lucky enough to stay at the Castlereigh bungalow on our honeymoon in 2014 for a couple of nights and of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka (and the Maldives) this was...
