Absolutely everything is included at these bungalows from laundry to afternoon tea to drinks so you are completely looked after and can relax. The style is colonial English without being chintzy. Rooms are large and comfortable with a huge bathroom (rain shower over the bath). Meals are served on the back veranda with fabulous views over tea plantations and hills....

Having enjoyed our rail trip to Hatton from Kandy we took the car to the Tea Trails. Windy roads through the tea plantations take you to your bungalow. We stayed at Caetlereagh which offers spectacular views over the reservoir. We were looked after by all the staff and our chef discussed meals in advance so we could choose what we...

Ceylon tea trails was incredible. We stayed in Tienstin bungalow in a garden suite, the room was incredible. The food throughout our stay was amazing and the whole place was so special. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Ceylon Tea Trails transports you straight back to the days of colonial tea plantation. Neatly refurbished, luxurious bungalows and an all-in package in a fantastic and unique location leave nothing to be desired. Staff are very professional, extremely friendly and made our stay. The communal areas, including bar around an open fire place and a pool table are cozy and...

When planning our honeymoon, we knew we wanted to spend a week in the Maldives, but wanted to spend another week somewhere special, unusual and not too far away. Sri Lanka was top of that list and after some research we were sold on Ceylon Tea Trails as it offered a mix of luxury, remoteness, activities, relaxation and one-off experiences....

We stayed two nights at the lovely renovated Summerville bungalow. We took the second class reserved seat train from Kandy. Our travel agent Red dot travels advised us to take the second class seats n not the air conditioned first class seats so that we could take pictures easily along the way. Its about 2 hours to the Hatton station...

Most reviews here have described how great the Tea Trails experiences are, which I can only echo. Hence, I will focus this review instead on a few practical aspects to consider before booking a stay at the Tea Trails. a) Lay of the land: there are currently five Tea Trails bungalows in total, BUT please note that these bungalows are...

So this one is quite simple. I have had the pleasure of visiting over 50 countries and staying is some of the best hotels in the world. Castlereagh is in the top 3. Service impeccable, food, possibly the best dinner I have ever had (lamb loin) and all the other meals amazing. Room, we had Palmer, perfect in every detail....

This is beautiful hotel set aside a beautiful plantation area where we enjoyed long walks through the nature. The rooms were nicely done and the team at the hotel took good care of us. the only concern was the food quality which we thought needs to be improved.
