I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem on the hill above the hustle and bustle of the city. The beautiful flowers and birds are a refreshing sight every morning. The rooms are big - we had a corner room and it was lovely - just wish they had screens on the windows (without gaps) so we could open...

...and just use the fan so you can enjoy the gorgeous mountain breezes and the night sounds. We were there in June and found that it was very comfortable sleeping weather. Of course that means an early wake up call from the birds but why sleep when you're in this gorgeous place. The drive up to this gem of a...

The hotel is located at the top of one hill at the North-East border of Matagalpa city, this help a lot, it is quiet and peaceful, you can feel the fresh air coming down from Apante Mountain. Rooms are big, with a nice view, and clean. Restaurant area is big and look fancy, with good food and good prices (I...

This is a tastefully decorated place with a bar and a chapel. Our room was huge, about 3 times the size of the one in Managua. It had a nice balcony view of the town. There's no A/C, but up in the mountains you don't need it. The garden on the grounds is a real delight, with all kinds of...

We meant to post this review months ago but better late than never. Really enjoyed our stay here last year. We arrived late after a complicated plane journey but received a lovely welcome. Air conditioning wasn't working in one of the rooms we had booked, but I was really impressed they made sure to charge the cheaper rate on check...

I have lived in Matagalpa for about a year now and finally made it to the hotel last week for a cup of coffee with a friend and a tour which were really nice. Based on this and a conversation with the lady helping us I returned Sunday evening with my girlfriend and two couples to celebrate her birthday. The...

This is a beautiful, family run hotel. The service in the restaurant was wonderful. The room that I had was big, spacious and comfortable. Although there was no air conditioning, with the ceiling fan kept the air flowing very well and was very comfortable to sleep at night.

The View is so nice ! The rooms were basic but very clean. For the price (60U$) you can sleep 4 persons in a room with King and Queen beds. Decent service but not outstanding. They also offer fast laundry service for good price. Close to the Downtown but far enough to enjoy the nature around.

I have stayed here several times on business and have always been impressed. The hotel is nice, clean, and the staff is wonderful. The attached restaurant is very good. This is my "go to" hotel in Matagalpa.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in Feb 2014. This is a grand old dame of a hotel that has seen better days. Rooms are older decor and the whole place is a little run down. Despite this, it has that wonderful sense of grandeur of a grand old hotel. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, full of birds...
