In the past 2 years I have made many trips to Netherlands on business and have generally resigned myself to there being very few pleasant hotels; Delta is one of those little beauties that makes being away from home that little bit less depressing.
We arrived at the Delta to be greeted by a receptionist who told us she had been trying to contact us on the phone numerous times to let us know our 'luxury suite with balcony' room that we had booked was not available. She claimed...More

People go to hotel for a special afternoon coffee. Peoe go to hotel for dinner. So you could use the hotel rather than go out. Yes there are places in walking distance. Never been. The hotel have bike you can use and have photocopies of maps of cycle routes to try. The train station 3 to 5 minutes walk. And you could go out to the coast area ( on these small local trains) to walk with sea breeze and places to walk eat drink out there. Hotels selling point is the big boats next to windows all day long. At night the industrial area twinkly lights. As bail Fawley once said ..... heard of wilder beast ?
