The place has a view to die for! It’s gorgeous! The staff is friendly, the hotel is easy to find and get to. It’s close to a laundry mat, atm, gas station, restaurants etc It’s location is where persons meet to go on boat rides which is convenient. However bring mosquito repellent! When outside sometimes you may get bite in the evening.
The food selection at the hotel could be increased in variety because it’s very limited. They should include phones in the rooms to contact the staff, fridge and cable in the rooms or smart TVs so we can watch YouTube videos and Netflix on it The hot water works sometimes. The place is nice if you love a rustic vibe It’s a great place to sleep for a night if you’re passing through the parish. This hotel has a gorgeous view!

Good place to stay for the Glinstering Waters. We stayed one night and the hotel has a dock with a boat to go on the lagoon after sunset. Nice view from the room and very kind owner and friendly staff. In the night we wanted a cup of coffee and they made fresh coffee for us and served some pastries with it.

My boyfriend proposed and the hotel staff participated in the surprise!! It was lovely. The room was clean with a beautiful view. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside our room deck and the atmosphere was breathtaking. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The decor was fantastic for photos!!

I recently stayed at the Fisherman's inn a few days ago and I must say I had a great time. The rooms were clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the good was great. I really enjoyed watching the sunset and rise here.

We made reservations to stay due to the location for us doing a couple of attractions (the luminescent ponds and the bamboo river raft tour). However, when we got there, we had to go looking for staff throughout the restaurant and hotel. There was no one there, and the only guest we saw, was leaving. Eventually we found some folks, and they got us checked in. There were no bolts on the doors, only push button locks. The rooms did not have glasses for water, broken glass was on the patio. The manager seemed cruel to the staff, and the staff seemed bewildered in assisting us for food and getting our rooms. It all seemed so strange and unsafe that we decided not to stay and left the hotel to stay elsewhere.

Having decided to see the Glistening Waters at night, we felt that this would be the ideal location to stay.
Although the location and setting is fantastic the hotel is not. The concept of basic cleaning seems to be misunderstood, as there wasn't any. So much so, that we felt that it was cleaner to sleep in our clothes and use our towels to cover the pillows in order for us to sleep.
I don't think that it is an unreasonable request to sweep the floor, clean the bath leaving it free of pubic hairs, remove used soaps and damp flannels from the room before renting it out, especially if guests are checking in at 21:00 with reservations.
I won't comment on the other aspects of the two rooms that we rented, as I suspect that you have a clear picture of what was encountered.
I spoke to management in the morning however they did not seem too concerned. This is a shame as they have the right ingredients to make the hotel a 'must stay at' location, however a massive overhaul is needed.
We stayed from Dec 30 - 31st 2015

We found the hotel setting lovely. The view from our room was fantastic. It was off season so it was quiet and we had it mostly to ourselves. The restaurant was eerily quiet and too big, so the one meal we had there, although nice enough, lacked any atmosphere! We asked our next meal to be brought out to the pool instead which was perfect! All in all quite a relaxing and peaceful stay. Although admittedly in terms of facilities it's not the smartest.
Unfortunately, we got home to discover we had been double charged. Once by them and once be Expedia. The hotel should never have charged our credit card, which we thought was given as security only. We were never given an invoice or receipt or any indication that they planned to take money. Yet they took ÂŁ380 once we left. We emailed them several times, and they didn't reply. So we contacted Expedia who intervened. They denied to them that they had charged us! Up to that point we were still hoping it was an innocent mistake. Once we provided bank statements they finally paid us back. All this took about 6 weeks! Not impressed at all and just thankful Expedia helped us sort it or we'd never have got it back.

I stayed here for one night with my mom and sister, in an upstairs room. We had a patio overlooking the pool and glistening waters. The place was clean, spacious and just what we wanted for a quick stop. The beds were comfy and we also had a mini fridge. The ac worked well in our room, the water was hot and the pressure was good (sometimes in these smaller hotels the upstairs rooms get low water pressure but this wasn't the case here). The place isn't extravagant by any means ie the paint is a bit faded and there were some cracks in the shower tiles but it's a good place to make a stop, especially if you're exploring the area as we were.
The bed linen was comfy and clean. The towels were of varying quality - mine was a bit threadbare but my sisters was very full and thick. However both were white and clean. They also ran out of towels (gave us a beach towel instead) - not sure if the place was fully booked but that was kinda odd. Nonetheless, the staff was also very friendly, efficient and especially honest ie with the towel situation. Also we ha paid extra by accident and didn't realize and they actually came back to tell us and give us back the difference which I found admirable.
We had breakfast in the dining area and it was definitely cooked to perfection. Of note, one of the dishes we ordered did not come out and we were told very honestl that the fish wasn't good but the chef didn realize until he had started to cook it. I really appreciated the honesty as some places would have served it anyways or made up an inane excuse.
Also as others said, wifi didn't stretch to the bedroom but was full strength in the downstairs area. Not sure if it went to the downstairs areas. Also I heard other guest say they could hear the traffic from the road in their downstairs room but we never had any problems like that - all of us were out like a light and slept well.
We just needed a place to stay for one night, didn't really spend much time on the property but I would definitely go back for a night or so. Charming place and people.

Our stay here was simply amazing and for a great price! US$75 for a double room that looked out over the pool and the bioluminescent lagoon, a steal! What was even better was the service for the staff. Not only did they ask what time we wanted to eat dinner and made themselves available to suit our schedule but they also arranged for a night tour of the bioluminescent lagoon with the tour boat picking us up and dropping us off at our own dock was simply above and beyond! A truly spectacular stay!
