Up until this trip I did not see the beautiful land of Jamaica since the age of 11! I had been nervous about visiting the Island due to the fact that most of my family members no longer live in Jamaica and I would not find a hotel of stress free comfort with no hidden fees. Upon attending a wedding this passed Oct I had no choice but to choose where Id stay when visiting. The Residence of Briarwood was the perfect choice for my family and I! We enjoyed staying at this Villa with its modern kitchen, clean living quarters, a five minute walk down a hill to the beach or main road and not to forget the wonderful service from Charmaine and Barron!!! They treated us like family, greeted us with smiles, chilled coconuts already in the fridge, awesome chilly AC, and met above and beyond each of our request!
We will definitely visit again!

I recently stayed at the Residences at Briarwood and after checked in I found a lovely arrival basket full of fruits and drinks.
My stay was great, its very close to the Beach and its very quiet.

While visiting Jamaica I spent a night in this magnificent hide away, nestled in relaxing and dreamy Trelawny. The experience was simply awesome.
Wonderful location overlooking the bay, beautiful decorated apartments, very clean and spacious with air-conditioned bedrooms, complete kitchen, and washer and dryer along with a cute breakfast nook on the patio. The view from the roof top was absolutely breath taking. The owners, Charmaine and Baron were charming hosts and extremely hospitable!! The dinner prepared by Chairmaine, was scrumptious and breakfast by Baron who catered to my "healthy” request was divine. This was definitely one of the best Jamaican experiences I have ever had!! A truly 5 Star accommodation and hospitality!! A home away from home......

We stayed at this Falmouth inn to attend a family event. The house is big, well maintained and apparently has several rooms/suites. Our accommodation was a suite which had two bedrooms, two baths. It was really lovely, well decorated, well maintained. The water was surprisingly hot for our daily showers, it was really a nice experience overall. We looked out our balcony and saw the beach, unfortunately, we didn't get to go there often enough, but the time we did, we regretted not having that experience a bit more. We actually thought going into Montego Bay proper for the beach experience was what we wanted, but Burwood Beach was simply delightful and quite sufficient. Overall, I would give this place a great rating, our hosts were very accommodating, and very helpful.

I would think twice before booking here.

Our experience started with having a difficult time finding the place then not being able to get in. Apparently the owners did not get our electronic booking confirmed and were not expecting us to arrive. We tried to ring the bell at the entrance gate but it did not work. We resorted to yelling and finally caught the owner's attention.

They were very nice and apologized... which would happen often.

After checking in we found that there was no pool and the "close" beach was more like 1/2 mile walk down a long hilly path to one of the dirtiest beaches I have ever seen. There is only one restaurant a few miles away and really nothing else to do nearby.
Then there we problems with the shower faucet falling off, no hot water for one of the showers, very weak WiFi that did not reach our room at all... more apologizes.

Bottom line: If you have a reason to be in the area (friends, business) this place will hold a lot of people at a very good price BUT if you are looking for a vacation place I would stay away.

First we want to thank you both for considering our vacation rentals your stay. Secondly to offer our sincerest apologies that your stay was not up to par. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and to know that we have fallen below that standard is something we like to address immediately. I know your stay with us started off on the wrong foot when you found out that you were not expected.We take full responsibility for losing your reservation I was embarrassed to have encountered such a problem and I will do everything within my power to ensure it does not happen again, I know that this does not help you, but I just wanted you to know. We will also look into the possibility of posting more directional signs. The bell malfunctioned due to water from heavy rain, the faucet handle falling off at this time was just a freak accident (I'm sure minor maintenance issues happen in the hospitality industry all the time) the no hot water remains a mystery (when the faucet handle was repaired there was hot water present) but there was a second bathroom at your disposal. We do not have a pool, and never advertised that we did. Please understand we are not taking your experience lightly as we realize this was a great inconvenience to you. As for the weak Wifi what we get is what we give and I should probably use this opportunity to have all our guests past, present and future petition with us to have the Company responsible for internet service do some major upgrade in our area. As for the beach being dirty we will not take responsibility for it being dirty, It is normally kept clean by the locals. However it was my understanding that due to the recent heavy rains a lot of debris came ashore. The beach is approximately a 10 minutes walking distance from our rentals yes it is downhill (but we are still a rural area). In all of this I hope you can forgive the inconveniences and not let it stop you from staying with us in the future. In fact I would like to offer you both a free night on your next visit to Jamaica. We had an enjoyable stay. Cleanliness was great and I just love the fragrance. It was amazing from the moment you step in the kitchen and dining area. This is a great place to go if you want personal attention and to be treated like a family. Wow what a place. Could not asked for more. The apartment is full of the most fantastic furnishings and so pretty. Thanks Charmaine and Baron. You have left us with very happy memories. God bless.
