Although our stay was generally good and the place was clean, one of the main reasons I had booked it was for the hot tub, which was not working. It would have been nice to be informed of that and offered the option to cancel as a result.

I love this place! Its quiet, super clean and excellent value for money. I stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. It had plenty of storage. I loved the kitchen and communal lounge, both were very spacious. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. I cant fault Altamont lodge at all

This is a lodge not a hotel. As such you are sharing space such as the huge lounge and kitchen, with strangers. As many of them come from other countries you are also guaranteed an interesting and educational conversation. The bedrooms are not huge but fine for a couple (as we were) - probably a little cramped for families who...

My husband and I stayed at Altamont lodge for a week of skiing and this was the perfect place to stay. The owner Helen was extremely welcoming and helpful with great advice for local wineries and places to check out. She even sourced a poster sized ski resort map for us which was a lovely surprise. The lodge itself was...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights whilst we went skiing at Cardrona. Our host Helen was delightful and gave us lots of tips on places to go, where to eat etc whilst we were there. She also kindly checked the weather report for us before we set off to Franz Joseph. The accommodation was great, warm comfortable...

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights this week. Very reasonably priced, impeccably clean and excellent kitchen facilities. The manager Helen was lovely and very helpful with suggestions of great activities to do during our stay in Wanaka. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent place to stay. Impeccably clean, organised, and comfortable. The kitchen is well-organised to suit long stays. Noise from the adjacent room permeates the walls easily but I didn't mind. Helen was very welcoming and informative.

Great lodge with great facility. Got upgraded to a family room because the lady was nice enough to place me near the bathroom. Not only that but my room was facing the garden and not the parking lot. Thank you. Quiet and a bit out of the central but if you have a car, that won't be a problem. Place...
