Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Ideal location, firstly, the hotel itself is small, cozy, surrounded by greenery. Ocean and palm tree views from each balcony. The picture is just worth staying at this hotel! The room is large, everything is working properly, there are not enough shelves in the shower room. Bed, pillows are good. For breakfast a choice of eggs, beans, tasteless sausages, vegetables, fruits. Since I have an omelette with vegetables at home every day, everything was enough for me! We took mango with us, ate as much as we wanted for dessert. Mango on the market - 50 cents each. Delicious smoothies in the resto! I recommend the hotel for a relaxing family holiday! In this part of the island, there really are not many hotels on the first line, overlooking the ocean, with their own beach and sun loungers! The staff are very helpful. Security at the entrance from the sea

The hotel is located in a relaxed and not crowded part of Nungwi, next to the Hilton. It is on the beach, simple but pretty. The manager, Mr.Khamis is very nice and attentive. Pros: location, simplicity, AC works well, good large bed, quiet. To improve: wifi, needs more beach chairs, better amenities at WC, breakfast needs a bit more ( more fruit, more breads, cheese please, yogurt etc), restaurant menu very limited. I would consider going back though.

We just spent a couple of nights at Smiles Beach Hotel and both the rooms and the restaurant are really family friendly, nice, and all clean and tidy. The restaurant has excellent food and the breakfast buffé includes something tasty for everyone. Very friendly staff and a lovely garden and pool area.

Had a wonderful 2 weeks vacation! Really enjoyed the hotel, the friendly staff and the perfect location on the beach. Breakfast was a little inconsistent, but was upgraded during our stay, which was great. We will definitely come back!

Smiles has a really great location in Nungwi, amazing sunset and clear sea. The pool and private beach are lovely, the staff are friendly and accommodating, big rooms with double twin beds (if you need a twin, there aren't many places in Zanzibar as it's honeymoon central :), strong AC and fans, no power cuts, easy access from Nungwi village. The only downside for me is that breakfast could be better, but I will go back, and there are plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby.
