We did the 3 days/2 nights tour. The overall stay was really great. The camp is situation further down the river than other camps and is further into the jungle. It's quite basic and bare, but the facilities are clean, working and have everything you'd need. There isn't any AC or wifi, which didn't matter too much since it got...

Giving best scores for knowledgeable, friendly & helpful staff and wonderfully prepared local food as well as location along Kinabatangan River. Stayed 4 nights but three would have been just right. Accommodations were basic and clean and ceiling fans only as might be expected for a jungle camp. Guided boat tours individualized for our group of five with local guide...

I stayed here 3 nights 4 days in a dorm. Simple but ok. Food was good and the people nice. You have to be a little lucky witch guide you have there was quiet a different and for sure during the night walks. We saw Oranggatans and a lot of other monkeys, birds etc. If you are on low budget...

We stayed at Kinabatsabah jungle lodge end July. We were in for a jungle experience, so did not have any expectations of luxury, so we were quite ok with that. There were many positives, which I'll start with: - staff is good, they are courteous, smiling, responsive - the pick up and drop off arrangements are good, and worked well...

This is a "walking" expedition camo as opposed to viewing animals by boat. The location is good and the cabin comfortable. Food is very good. Some of the walks can be a little strenuous for those who are not fit. The night walk is fun.

We booked the 3D2N safari with KJC. All the staff were really friendly and always welcomed you after each activity with a great smile. They come and pick you up from the airport (2h van ride +15 min boat ride) for free and are always making sure you are ok. The camp is just ok. They have pretty big rooms...

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for the valuable feedback, we will take this comment as an initiative for us to improve our service further. For your info, we do provide shampoo and soap for guest in their rooms. Also, for your further understanding, Wifi is not available at the moment because our lodge is located in the middle of the jungle...

Recently stayed with my husband and 2 kids aged 6 and 8. We had a great time. Fantastic food! Friendly staff, Lan did a great job to find elephants during our stay. Rooms are basic, no aircon, but that is all part of the experience. The camp is located in the jungle and not on the river itself. There are...

We spent quite a lot of money and we did expect more than what we had, starting with the rooms that are quite basic (everything is actually quite basic including bathroom, beds, food,...). It is ok for us but not so much considering the price we paid. The boat trips are nice and we saw many toucans and monkeys but...

Let me start with reviewing the camp itself. We came to stay at this place through the Lonely Planet Borneo book. The accommodations are basically what I expected based on the description from the book as being "functional" and "for serious nature junkies", so I wasn't surprised how basic the rooms are. They are clean, never had issues with bugs...

Dear Jamie, We hope you did enjoy your stay in KJC and glad to know that our food and staff service is still up todate considering there is some minor mistake that our management will take action. Guide using phone during river cruising (which we will take action) Driver is driving very fast even at bumpy road. As for the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kinabatangan Jungle Camp was established in the year 2004 in the lower Kinatangan Wildlife Sanctuary near the village of Bilit. The whole concept is simply truly jungle. Today, many repeat visitors especially birders still come to KJC to search for the very illusive Bornean Ground Cuckoo and others still try their luck to see the Clouded Leopard. ... more   less
