Built by two wealthy brothers for their two families (one in each wing of the "chateau"), this place is way out of place in the otherwise working class surroundings. About 20 minutes from Kutna Hora, we were given a large room on the main floor of the "new" building. The room was oversized, with very good internet access. Bathroom was... More

We were the only people in this very large hotel. It had a feeling like the hotel in The Shining. Dark, and desserted. Very large rooms, but we couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning. Stay in Khotna Hora.

Still nice but need to be updated. Good service. Air condition In Orangerie only. Nice swimming pool but not enough sunbeds - only 14 for whole hotel. Nice rooms but not enough towels or shampoons. Check out at 10 am was very disappointing. You have to ask for later check out, but .max 12.00. Pitty.

The architecture is great, and the place have its charm. But the place is is not properly managed, somewhat neglected, and needs some repairs, For example, small wooden terraces in front of the Oranzerie rooms are broken. The small pool has good water, but the hotel does not provide enough deck chairs so not all guest were able to lay... More

We got married at the Chateau on 23.05.2015. Everything was just perfect, the hotel is top class. Both the management and the personnel were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble! It was a Czech/English wedding and their knowledge of English was incredible which meant that everyone felt at home. The food is really high standard using quality homemade... More

This place is really a gem! After we had spent several days in Prague, we wanted to go to Kutna Hora and see the famous UNESCO sight St. Barbara's Cathedral. We were looking for a special accommodation nearby and discovered this lovely castle built 100 years ago and restored just lately. The castle is set in a beautiful scenery which... More

This is a hotel which was designed and built in the early 1900s. It was restored to its original state and it's truly an experience if you like design from that era. The restaurant is excellent. A really good and creative menu. If you want to explore outside of Prague, stay here. It's not just a hotel, it's Czech design... More

To sum up this hotel - divine food but strange rooms. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive from Kutna Hora and Sedlec, but has the feel of being in the middle of nowhere. It is quite austere looking and appeared deserted when we drove up, however the receptionist was very welcoming and showed us to our room personally.... More

This was our fourth visit in Chateau Kotera and it was surely not our last one. It may be hard to explain but it is one of the places where you somehow fell "good". Literally you can feel the atmosphere of the beggining of 20 century and you can enjoy the peace and quiete of a local parc where you... More
