Sadly owners with all the history knowledge were not there but daughter looked after us with continental breakfast and homemade jams. Pool kept open despite it having a leak which caused extra work so appreciated. Very quiet. No television in room so did feel cut off from the outside world but quite nice to do that for a change & read. We stayed out all day until after we had eaten our evening meal so not long until bed time anyway. B&B was very isolated & difficult to find on 1st day but once we knew where it was it was ok. Room kept very clean & beds made every day.

We spent a few days with Chris and Jenny last week and had a fabulous time. You could not ask for better hosts. They are both lovely people and very attentive to all of our needs without being over whelming. Their house is superb. Very clean and tidy, with a few nice touches thrown in...lovely soft towels, crisp white sheets and the breakfast was wonderful. To be greeted with a nice glass of wine after our daily sightseeing was so welcome and very unexpected...thank you.
I would highly recommend this accommodation if you are visiting Normandy, particularly Bayeux and the D Day beaches as they are both a stones throw away and easily accessed. Chris is also very knowledgeable about WW2 and is more than happy to share and give advice.
We will be back!
Thanks to Chris and Jenny.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Normandy. With all the stress of traveling and visiting all the DDay events and venues during the day, it was so nice to be able to come back to clean comfortable quiet accommodations to rest and recharge for the next day. Thank you for the wonderful breakfasts, dinners and recommendations as well! My favorite part was our conversations and getting to know you, your daughter, and your story! Kind Regards, Will & Lori

Me, my wife and two children (3 and 9 months) visited Jenny and Chris for two nights on our way to the south of France. The house was easy to find and we were greeted with a warm welcome and some well needed refreshments. The room was beautiful and Jenny and Chris had made up a special bed for our 3 year old to sleep on. We had plenty of room and felt at home straight away. We arrived late and Chris was happy to recommend the nearest restaurant options for us to try but not before a lovely aperitif in the garden whilst the sun went down. The B&B is situated between Bayeux and St Lo and only a short drive from plenty of food options. We opted for the Chinese buffet down the road. Perfect for the kids who were starving. After a great nights sleep we were greeted by a fantastic continental breakfast which Jenny had freshly prepared. Very tasty with some great local produce including her own homemade jams. We were keen to see some of the world war 2 battle sites and Chris was kind enough to print out a list of places to go. He proved very knowledgeable on the subject and runs tours himself.

I would highly recommend a visit to Normandy getaways if your looking to explore the area from a great location in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. With some great hosts.

And don’t forget to try Chris’s walnut liquor.

Fantastic place to be with friendly hosts who help you with everything.
Everything was perfect: the breakfasts, the rooms, beds and especially de boeuf bourguignon Jenny made.
Thanks Chris for planning the route with Marc so that we could visit all the landing beaches. Hope to see both of you again.

We just spent 2 nights at Mis-Harand with my girlfriend. Our hosts were so kindfull. The bedroom was lovely decorated in a Claude Monet style. The bed was really confortable. The breakfast was delicious (a lot of choice, we couldn't finish it ! :)) - french croissants from the bakery, eggs, cheese and ham, a large choice of marmelade... A big garden with a swimming pool, you can also play badminton and petanque. The house is located in a very peacefull area, surrounded by fields. Maybe you can see some rabbits chilling around the place. Don't hesitate. The best place to stay near Bayeux. Lot of things to visit around (Balleroy Castle, Cerisy Abbey, The Tapisserie of Bayeux and the magnificient Cathedral, museums of the 2nd world war, it's also very close to Arromanches).

Chris & Jenny couldnt have been more accomodating on our family break, the rooms were immaculately clean and presented. Good selection of coffee etc in the room and the shower was very powerful. Breakfast was lovely, exactly what you would expect from a continental B&B. pity the weather meant we couldnt make the most of the pool and garden.
