We returned for the second time to this hotel and our stay left the same great memories as the first one. The surroundings, ambience, and atmosphere is impeccable.Rooms and linens just perfect. Service prompt and discrete. Located among the rolling hills and meadows, but close enough to the town. Very quiet and relaxing. We loved the pools, one with warmed water. We... More

This summer was our 5th consecutive stay at Charembeau. It's a lovely family-run hotel with a level of professionalism, attention to detail and courtesy that are rare. The rooms are spread around park-like grounds and are well-appointed, immaculately clean and comfortable, and there are numerous activities available – swimming pool, tennis and volley board courts, pool, ping pong, etc, etc.... This was my fifth stay in five years. The first was a three day visit following an arduous cycle tour (Geneva-Nice), the next three were one night stopovers on similar tours - the latest in July, when we were cycling from Cherbourg to Nice. This last time, I was on my own. Its perfect for my needs. It has all... More

Wonderful place to relax. Stayed in 3 different rooms from the smallest to one of the biggest. All lovely. Stunning grounds with otherworldly sculptures dotted around. Loved the double level pool surrounded by an array of trees and raspberry bushes. Breakfasts were outstanding. Because we spent the entire time with our 6 year old in the pools, we didn't get... The grounds are absolutely stunning but rooms are not air conditioned. Loved the kitchenette and adorable wee appliances. Our room faced East and never got cool no matter what we tried. Flies were constant and landing on me despite netting. I barely slept a week. Our friends had a cool, South-facing room with shade and a nice breeze. The pool... More

We had a lovely family room with a great balcony. Loved the breakfast, especially the yogurt. We swam in the pool and the kids had lots of fun things to do and play. I can't wait to visit again. The location was perfect and easy to drive into the village. We had lunch at the hotel one day and it... More

Visiting the lavender fields of Provence had eluded me on my two previous trips to the region. This trip I would not be denied! After scouring the usual accommodation aggregation sites, and coming up short for something a little unusual, I chose a different approach - where would the lavender be in flower in the first half of June? Answer:... More

Quaint hotel. Wood beams in the rooms. Old building with renovated (albeit small) rooms and gorgeous bathrooms. Pretty location high on a hill with a large swimming pool. However, watch out for the wasps at the pool, as I was stung. Staff was helpful - called right away to advise us of something left in the room upon our departure.... More

I am regular here and have visited every year for at least once per year for the past 4 years. I do not see this trend stopping anytime soon. It becomes difficult to find new superlatives, but as the title says, Charembeau is simply the best! A beautiful location, with plenty of short walks, and views North to the Montagne... More
