Socrates: We initially booked with Notos (Socrates sister hotel in Old Town Malia) and were really looking forward to our stay there. We were collected by the lovely George and taken to Socrates Hotel which puzzled us. However, at reception we met the amazing Sofia. She kindly explained that as it was nearing the end of the season, there was...

This is a good hotel if you're looking for a place to stay while travelling around creete (it's a good place if you only have breakfast and sleep). So, this i not a good option if you're looking for a hotel to stay and relax by the pool, with an 'all inclusive' regime. To do so, you have a lot...

We couldn't imagine staying at another hotel in Malia. I sincere thank you to George and Sofia and the amazing service and staff at breakfast. In Malia, this is a perfect hotel for young families and not for young ones looking to party. This is also a perfect hotel to use as a base to visit other places like the...

Close enough to main road with lots of lovely restaurants (few minutes walk), but far enough from noise and traffic. Hotel is clean, quiet, with private balconies and nice grounds. Swimming pool not crowded with enough sun beds. Staff very polite and helpful. we had...

Reasonable size hotel, very friendly staff, and they all speak English. There is a pool for children, the children facilities is a bit basic (could add more facilities (currently pop up slides/swing) a few more trees will be ideal too) Hotel is near to amenities, groceries shop (5 minutes walk), Kreta Taverna (restaurant) just up the road and is fabulous,...

The Socrates Hotel/Apartments are set between Malia and Stalis in such a lovely quiet area that have wonderful views of the mountains. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and is close enough to walk into Stalis and Malia. This is the fourth time we have stayed here and what we really like is that it...
