Detailed Reviews
We stayed two nights. When we arrived, I asked the young lady at the Reception if we could have another room as the one we had been assigned, on the ground floor, had only a small window facing the street that could not be opened and felt very closed. The lady was very helpful and booked us into another available room (with a surcharge due to change of category), and let me have a look at it before confirming. The hotel and rooms are lovely ad full of character; the building has a long history that you can really feel and observe throughout: it used to be a palace then a prison, then a convent. I love places that have such history. There is a lift to every floor and lovely pieces of furniture that give even more character to every space. Our room was on the first floor (room 10); it was large, clean, simply but tastefully furnished, there were fresh towels ad complimentary slippers. The only thing that is less than perfect is the light musty smell in the room, as well as the fact it was a bit damp. This is surely due to the fact that the building is old. It was not a big problem as we kept the window open most of the time and that helped, as well as using the air con with the "anti-humidity" function. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace with an amazing view overlooking the sea, it was a magic way to start the day. Breakfast itself is delicious: home-made cakes, muffins, focaccia and savory pastries, as well as fresh bread and fruit. The staff were all super friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in the old town and perfect for visiting Gallipoli; parking is not allowed there but the hotel will ensure permission to briefly leave the car at check in and check out. There are big parking lots just outside the old town. Highly recommend I Bastioni di San Domenico and thanks to the staff for making us feel at home!

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay of four nights in an excellent location We recommend.
This boutique hotel is in an old converted building by the sea. Our room and bathroom were very large and comfortable. We booked a room without a view of the sea; however, the only window we had was up at height that while it did light in, it did not allow even a look outside.
The staff was professional and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was fine, it offered a number of selections in a room with a view of the sea. If there are only two of you, be sure to sit in the little room for two just on the other side of the buffet table. During busy mornings though, it did not allow a lot of room for social distancing.

On arrival in Gallipoli station, the hotel sent the driver to collect us and transport us to the hotel. The hotel is in a fabulous position overlooking the sea. We took a junior suite which had the views of the sea, and rewarded us with the most magnificent sunsets. The room was well equipped and comfortable, and remarkably quiet given that we were on the first floor - the double glazing shut out all noise (not that there was much noise).
Shout out to Sylvia and Giovanna at reception for their friendly smiles every day and their help, and all the women who served breakfast (on the wonderful roof terrace), and Sandro who collected us from the station.
Just one little suggestion, and not a criticism - the roof terrace would make a wonderful bar in the evening.
Would certainly stay again if in Gallipoli

Thank you Staff for an unforgettable stay. We had the opportunity to change Rooms to the “Best View in town “
Room number 23, absolutely the best view in this Beautiful Boutique Hotel.
Waking up to the sound of the waves, enjoying an Delicious Coffee with views of the lighthouse and surrounding Turquoise waters! Even while standing under the “rainfall” shower you have an amazing view of the Ocean!
Very friendly and professional Frontdesk staff. The Breakfast served with lots of love and Detail is across the Street in the Famous Restaurant “Basitione” the complimentary ocean views are included in a fabulous start to the day.

Located on the island the hotel has a wonderful mix of classic décor and modern amenities. A great location for getting around and the breakfast of tasty pastries really set you up for the day, more so when taken on the roof. If you stay, make sure you grab a view of the sunset from the roof, probably one of the best in the city; unbelievably beautiful and romantic. The staff were so helpful, providing useful info and making bookings for the beach, and also took us to the train station when we were leaving. Highly recommend it, and would be my no1 choice if we ever go back to Gallipoli.

The staff were very friendly at this hotel and helped us with an early checkin, they were also able to help us with transport to a nearby town Nardo. The location was perfect, right in the old town with great views of the sea and lots of small bars and restaurants nearby. The best part of the hotel was definitely the roof terrace where you have your breakfast - delicious and with stunning views across the sea.

Very well located in Gallipoli's old town you can visit everything by foot. You have to book a parking out of the old town but 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Small boutique hotel. Breakfast is served in their restaurant with sea view a very pleasant location.
Bed was confortable, good linen and pillows. We didin' have a room with a view and I've regretted the sunset is beautiful in front of the hotel!

I was so happy that I booked this place, as it’s situated right on the sea front. As we arrived for our four day stay the weather changed to 28mph winds horizontal rain and temperatures of around 15degrees not good for a mid May stay!! Our room 23 had the most fabulous view of the sea from its two sets of French windows, so even though we couldn’t venture out too much we were captivated by watching the waves crash along the rocks . I can’t imagine how we would have gone on if we had picked a hotel without views. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for us organising a taxi to our next port of call, nothing was too much trouble. I would definetly recommend this lovely immaculately clean boutique hotel .

Fantastic hotel!
The location is just excellent - close to the beach, numerous restaurants and in the nicer part of the island; clean and spacious rooms.
The reception was very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of good tips!
We got also very good help with parking in the hotel's private garage which otherwise could have been quite challenging in Gallipoli.
The rooftop terrasse at the hotel is breathtaking!
Thank you so much for such a lovely stay!
