Gulia and her father make friendly and helpful hosts. Our room had a good view of the garden and was spacious. We used the common kitchen for a couple of meals and Georgio's breakfast was unstoppably delicious. We liked staying in Alta Modica because it was easy to get to other places (Ragusa, Scicli) without going through Modica Bassa traffic,...

The accommodation was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The only challenge was walking back from the centro. I would not recommend unless you can walk up a hundred stairs or a steep hill or perhaps get a taxi. I recently stayed at another B&B on the lower level of Modica and it makes more sense. Although, the views...

This place is hard to find even with gps. Me and my husband were arriving there late. We had gps with the correct address. This place is not central at all the way some reviews say. The gps was sending us to some super small tiny weird looking streets that honestly did not look good at night. When we finally...

Once you have reached Modica Alto this is an ideal residence. Julia & local people rescued us when we were looking for the wrong number. Although the very narrow street is a main thoroughfare, there was little sound in the rear bedroom. We were fortunate to have a twin room with a lovely balcony overlooking the white rocks, gardens and...

I would give this beautiful B&B in Modica Alta a 5 star if the breakfast was a bit nicer. The drive up to the B&B (Modica Alta) is a bit confusing if you do not have a good map or GPS, but once there, you would be glad you made the effort. The back of the B&B faces a nice...

We managed to find the place ok, and got parked for free outside each day. It was a good job as I'm not sure where you'd park otherwise. It's a narrow one way street, so be careful not to go past the b&b. Georgio was there when we arrived and was very friendly. He doesn't speak English and we don't...

We have alternated this trip between larger hotels and B&B's like this one. This is a great value place situated in the heart of Modica within walking distance of the best churches to see. We had Rm #4 which was spacious though it did not have a balcony. Some others do. However you have access to the garden at the...

Giorgio has made our stay an excellent one. His sixth sense told him when to await us and guide us to a parking spot when we arrived. His hospitality and attention to details charmed us and made our stay a particularly enjoyable one. Il Giardino is located not far from the main street of Modica (10 minutes walk, though steep...

The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast excellent. We found the place very easily with of GPS, and found a parking space right at the door. Giorgio is a lovely man and very helpful. Unfortunately, do to a mix-up, we ended up in room #1, and it is right on the busy but very small road. Room 1 is...

We stayed for just one night but we absolutely recommend this place for anyone staying in modica. Nice, huge room with balcony and a wonderful view of the hills and garden (not the city itself), clean and great bathroom with everything you could hope for (real shower gel and not that cheap one was very thoughtful and courteous), amazing breakfast...

“We had rm #4 which was large but no balcony. Most face onto the garden and not the street but I guess Rm #1 is noisy. The street has a lot of traffic for such an out of the way road.”
