We stayed at this Villa with our family for my husband's birthday celebration. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful place it is. The villa itself is amazing. Beautifully decorated and maintained. The grounds could not have been better. Beautiful landscaping and views. The infinity pool was fabulous. There was a ping pong table outside that everyone enjoyed. We... More

This grand country house is spectacular. It is well-appointed with beautiful rooms and an excellent kitchen. The landscape around the house is magnificent with a stunning infinity pool. It was always such a joy to come back to this house after touring or bicycle riding and just be together in the gardens or pool area. The housekeeping staff were exceptional... More

Location - perfect. Accommodation - perfect. Village - perfect. Everything we wanted from our Tuscan holiday we found here. Could not have been better. Deer in the forest right at our fingertips on the first night of our arrival - enchanting. Church bells ringing in the morning as woke. We used this site as a base for Vespa and motorcycle trips to area villages. What an awesome porperty! One could spend all day by the pool drinking wine, wander up to the cute village to shop for olive oil, wine, or knock knacks, or walk to the neighboring village (1 km) for an espresso or a five-star meal. And... More

The villa is beautiful and spacious. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was adequate for our group. The pool is gorgeous but not heated. In May it is too cold to use. The grounds are well maintained. Simone, the property manager, was extremely responsive to any of our concerns and issues. The housekeepers Patrizia and Linda were very friendly. We also... More

When I was doing research in the Chianti area to find a villa for a small group that I was taking to Tuscany for the olive harvest, I stumbled across Podera Barberino in Chianti – in the beautiful village of Barberino Val d’Elsa. I had very specific criteria for a villa, and had been unable to find a place that... More

Nestled on a hillside with spectacular uninterrupted views of the Tuscan countryside on one side and the hilltop village of Barberino val d"Elsa on the other, this is a truly wonderful villa. It is perfect for large groups - we were 20 - and the overall layout of the property gives everyone ample space. White linen, stone and a few... More

We stayed a week in June: 20 adults + 4 children and had the most magical week. And got married in the grounds! Accommodation is superb. Gardens and view over the valley a delight. The owners fall over backwards to help. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We were fortunate to have the most wonderful chef to cook us lunch and... More
