What a fab hotel. Lovely location. Room clean, bed comfortable, restaurant clean and tidy. We were on top floor, just a little bit warm, but to be expected. Staff very helpful. Highly recommended. Going back in July.

Beautiful Georgian hotel in a crescent to rival tgat in Bath. The tastefully decorated restaurant is light, bright and welcoming. The staff are delightful and The food totally off the scale. We both had moussaka and agreed it was the best we had ever tasted.

Had to travel down to Gosport for a last minute meeting, booked a room at The Anglesey, had a fantastic time. Charming building, bar had great atmosphere, met the owner and his son, great to stay at a family run hotel. They even allowed us to extend our checkout to an astonishing 1pm so we could get work done. Recommended.

Stayed for two nights in a lovely room with views over the Alverstoke gardens to the Solent. Breakfast was a full on English for me on day one - far too much so on the second day just had poached egg on toast. Cereal was a help yourself affair and a good variety was available. The location of the Anglesey...

I had a very comfortable 2 night stay at The Anglsey Hotel. Very queit room and a very comfortable bed and a great view of the Solent. The Anglesey also offers great food both at breakfast and evening meals, with a choice of bar or resturant for evening meals - I can recommend the home made burgers. The staff are...

A beautifully situated small hotel, within easy reach of the lovely Stokes Bay with excellent walks. Rooms were good value and the food very good and vey reasonably priced. Only criticism-the showers need an upgrade. But overall well worth the stay.

The hotel is at the end of beautiful Georgian Crescent with a lot of local history attached to it. We were only here for dessert, which we had in the bar and there was a lot to choose from. Strangely the bar menu is bigger than the restaurant menu ! . We will be back for dinner soon.

If you travel on business and are sick of sterile chain hotels (you know which I mean) try here. I go three or four times a year. Have not had a bad room but hear that some are better than others. All good to date. There is a great vibe here. Excellent pub bar and good restaurant. For and drink...

We booked a table for a quiet dinner for two and were given a choice of which table we preferred. The food is truly excellent - definitely no mass produced, freezer to microwave meals here! The young serving staff were polite, efficient and friendly and the prices very reasonable. Add the elegant surroundings and it all adds up to an...
